Anybody here routinely clean their register? I am having problems with stuff opening very slowly, etc. Computer generally sluggish. I get a lot of activity on the scvhost.exe file when I check activity in the task manager. Bitch is always hogging a bunch of resource, especially when the problem is bad.
I did a google search with svchost.exe and it took me to a bunch of hits for registry cleaners, and one of them (Uniblue or something like that) explained in their promo that deleted programs often leave files on your computer. Then your computer is often looking for matching files that no longer exist, or some gibberish.
Soooooo...I downloaded the FREE software and ran it, only to find out it determines how many registry errors you have (they found 399 on my search), but it only cleans up 15 of them for FREE. My mouth is still sore from that hook.
Anywho, I swear my computer is responding faster today since I let their software clear up 15 of the problems. But I would like to do a complete cleanup.
Any suggestions? I have already had several suggest I pawn my computer and go back to legal pads and a calculator (har har har).
All the best and thanks for any input you have.
