ok, been sick for days, had an interesting NYE and finally got my internet working again. Been a shitty week so far.

Had a couple home games where i've pretty much won easily each time but nothing really big to report from that. I finished the last of my stars bonus for 120 but lost 140 doing it on just a string of suck outs and cold cards. Been trying to finish up bodog to free up my money from there because the site sucks for plo so far. The players suck but the tables are rarely going well, except maybe at the 25's.

I can't really get anything going right now and I really hate Empire's tight tables. That $10 bonus they gave really sucked because that's 300 raked hands wasted on that than the $100 bonus. I never thought I would say this, but i wish i had a stars bonus to work since they have some of the best tables for $50's.

Some hands from some of my shitty sessions recently.

Got someone to do this to me on a plo25 table and back into a flush and then try to check raise me on the river, which I didn't fall for. I don't understand how some of these people think.

in non poker news, moving to a new place next sunday and we are working on getting this place packed up. Also, got a party this saturday to say goodbye to the place. I've been here over 2.5 years so it seems fitting.

Since our internet was out for a couple days but luckily not the tv which apparently that was too, I watched a few videos, including Mullholland Drive. I had that on my computer for a while but never got around to watching it. Now besides some nice lesbian scenes between the two female leads, which include naomi watts, there is nothing good about this movie. Has anyone seen this movie? What the fuck is it about and what actually happened? This is seriously the first time I was less confused before the movie was over than after. Obviously the character was mentally disturbed and delusional, but so were the director, writer and actors in this movie to think this made any sense whatsoever!!!

Seriously, someone help me out here.

I saw Mullholland Drive when it came out, didn't understand it at all but loved it nonetheless, I've been meaning to watch I since found a website tthat lists things you need to pay attention to understand more about it.

But, anyways, I liked it.

its been a few days so lets see what's been going on. Finally finished the empire bonus down about $20 in play due to a couple suck outs, 1 really bad play by me and some cold cards in a rock garden. So I was up 90 as they gave 110 in bonus. I'm working on bodog now so I can get access to my money without negating the bonus. I will have that done this week before we move. I hope to do the same with the interpoker 120 bonus i have which i should be able to finish in about 4-5 more hours. Its actually clearing very quick. This is december's bonus too so I could put in the Jan too.

First some hands of note of late:

This hand was questionable as its obvious what he has but I have so many redraws, i can just get it in too. I probably should have tried to draw cheap. Either way, a note went on that guy playing a straight with no redraw like that.

On saturday, we had a moving out party as I've been in this place for over 2.5 years and there have been many good times there for me and all my friends so we had to have a party. It was a pretty good time but I was torn between 3 different groups of friends that didn't mingle and as a good host, i worked my way through them equally. My roommate decided to go get some food and drop by a bar he goes to and gets plastered for about 15 shots in 20 minutes or so. The person he is with, drives him home and he is in a happy state. However, within 10 minutes of being home he becomes an angry and psychotic drunk. great. I'm surprised there wasn't a fight between him and many of the people there, including me who would have laid him out if he tried anything. Luckily, his girl was there and calmed him down and got him away from the party so it was all good again. We even got some dizzy bat races in (spin around 5 times looking down at a bat, run to a drink, chug and run back, teams of 3 or 4) which was fun to see everyone fall and stumble. I never have any problem with that stuff and it was like i hadn't even drank or spun. Who knew?

Recovery and clean up the next day wasn't too bad but now its on to cleaning and packing for the week. Oh fun.

I decided to use my party points before they take it away from me so I entered a qualifier for the 100k event for 1000 points and the 100k event for 20k point which is basically all my points. I lost KK to QQ all in preflop semi early in the 100k and was done. 21k first prize would have been nice. In the qualifier, I was kicking some ass and getting lucky. I wish it would have happened in the other tourney instead.

There were 524 entrants and 17 got seats. I played tight as usual and got some hands that went my way. see this post

forum/viewtopic.php?t=10148

There was also one that catapulted me to the end.

I can't see how I should do this any different and its nice to be the one to hit the 3 outer like this. If they had more, i could have folded.

When it got down to 18, all the shorties were trying to work together to last which almost screwed me as i had an average stack but the blinds started to wear me down. The big stacks were just pushing all in constantly and there was no reason for me to play with 8 people worse off than me. I even folded QQ and such because I should be able to fold to the spot. Eventually one of them went out and it went crazy and I went out in 16th. There was no difference between 17th and 1st, no prize money so there was nothing to play for. I played very well and now have a seat.

The only problem, I thought it was for any 100k event, not the one this sunday. I have to check with party because I'm moving this sunday so I can't play. I've talked with kenny and he says he will likely be able to play for me if I need him so its all good. I just have to find out what's the deal with party because I would like to play it myself even though kenny might have a better chance in it. :D Either way, i'm hoping for some payout. I haven't played a tourney near this size ever.

Does anyone know about these qualifiers? It just say a seat into 100k main event which is every sunday but doesn't mention a specific one so maybe i can use it for any? I will email party to find out.
