Anyway, that's some good stuff there, rdale. I do need to be better about not playing when I can't play my best, such as last night for example. I started out well, but a couple of beats threw me off way more than they should've.

But I also think I need to be better about playing when I should. There's been too many times in the past where I've cut a session short because I was happy without how much I had won...and yes, sadly enough, because I was scared of giving it back. That's a pretty horrible attitude, and it's also expensive since I was in very profitable games on these occasions.

Definitely stuff to consider.

I have the same problem TW. I'm so happy with the small win I just wanna cut loose and run away. Silly perhaps...but i'm not much a of gambler.

Well, one little session later and I'm right back above where I was before last night's mini-nightmare!

Played for only about 2 and a half hours because I have some friends coming over, so I'll probably book another 3 or 4 later on this evening. I felt extremely relaxed, patient and focused today, and an early flurry of bad beats did nothing to change that attitude. I remained solid, battled back and finished up $273. Ker-CHING! AQ, however, still remains a terror. I got it 6 times and won ONCE! I ran it into KK twice (and flopped top pair queen both times), and I ran it into AK twice (flopped top pair ace both times, lol)...and the other loss was against fucking Q8s, heh heh. Screw that hand, I oughta just start muckin it everywhere like the piersman says.

Only put in another hour and a half, as my idiot friends wound up hangin around longer than expected, and then it took me awhile to sober up from all the alcohol I had to drink to make their presence tolerable. I realize that sounds rather rude on my part, but I'm confident they'd say the same about me, so I don't feel guilty.

Anyway, I made another $245, and suddenly my week is way back on track! All told I played 4 hours today and made $517, which is pretty damned nice! My evening session was actually kinda funny; my play was solid, but I kept on running my good hands into better ones...and then invariably sucking out, heh heh. Over and over again, I'd make a very solid (and dead-wrong) read, fearlessly act on it, and then suck out to win the pot after investing a number of bets as the underdog. Heh heh, it's kinda embarassing, but I really don't feel too awful about it because I think my decisions were generally pretty solid. And as for the suckouts, well, I figure the ol' poker-gods owed me a couple. Hopefully, their generosity will continue!

Well, since I last updated ya'll, I've undergone a "minor negative adjustment that falls well within the confines of standard statistical variance."

I bet some asshole said the same thing about the great depression, heh heh! Nah, hasn't been that bad but I have dropped about $300 or so since my last update. Mostly bad cards. There may have been some tilt in there, but I've been too fuckin pissed off to know, what with barely being able to see the cards through this red film.
