The funny thing about mizors like me and MK is that we seem to suck out absolutely EVERY hand we're in, and yet all you ever hear is us bitching about how stuck we are. Well, it's all true. We DO suck out every hand we're in, and we ARE always stuck. It's just one of those strange cosmic things that doesn't have to make sense to be true. These ruminations have no real bearings on my journal entry, just some food for thought.

Put in another 4 hours or so and managed to regain about two thirds of my previous loss. I was actually briefly up for the day until some utter nutcase hopped on one of my tables and proceeded to reem me over and over again with gutshots and overcard draws. :) I wound up getting a good bit of it back from him near the end, but according to PT I still managed a total loss of $65 against the bastard, so I don't feel that adequate vengeance was achieved. Here comes some FUN hands I played against him! Note that I make some rather non-standard bets, raises and call-downs against him...I grant you that I didn't play all these hands perfectly, but against a guy that'll play any two and play em hard, you gotta make some adjustments.

THE BAD:

HAND 1: Villain is the BB who makes an extremely daring cap! SB actually had a better hand than me but was quickly all in, so we both got shanked.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: TW is UTG+1 with [Tc], [Th].
1 fold, TW raises, 3 folds, Button 3-bets, SB calls $2.50 (All-In), BB caps, TW calls, Button calls.

Flop: (13.16 SB) [6h], [4s], [8d] (4 players, 1 all-in)
BB bets, TW raises, Button folds, BB calls.

Turn: (8.58 BB) [Jh] (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB checks, TW bets, BB calls.

River: (10.58 BB) [7c] (3 players, 1 all-in)
BB bets, TW calls.

Final Pot: 12.58 BB

Results in white below:
BB has As 5s (straight, eight high).
TW has Tc Th (one pair, tens).
SB has Qh Qc (one pair, queens).
Outcome: BB wins 12.58 BB.

HAND 2: Took place only two hands later! Aren't flopped sets wonderful?

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: TW is BB with [7h], [7c].
3 folds, MP2 raises, Button calls, 1 fold, TW calls.

Flop: (6.33 SB) [5h], [9d], [7s] (4 players)
TW bets, MP2 raises, Button calls, TW 3-bets, MP2 calls, Button calls.

Turn: (7.66 BB) [6c] (4 players)
TW bets, MP2 calls, Button calls.

River: (10.66 BB) [4h] (4 players)
TW bets, MP2 calls, Button raises, TW calls, MP2 folds.

Final Pot: 15.66 BB

Results in white below:
TW has 7h 7c (three of a kind, sevens).
CO doesn't show.
Button has 8c Kh (straight, nine high).
Outcome: Button wins 15.66 BB.

HAND 3 : Me and some other unlucky sod with the same hand get NAILED by the bastard's dominating ATo. At least he had the decency to flop his suckout this time!

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: TW is MP1 with [Qh], [Ac].
2 folds, TW raises, 2 folds, Button calls, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, TW calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9.33 SB) [Kc], [Ad], [Ts] (3 players)
BB checks, TW bets, Button calls, BB calls.

Turn: (6.16 BB) [4d] (3 players)
BB checks, TW bets, Button calls, BB calls.

River: (9.16 BB) [9s] (3 players)
BB checks, TW bets, Button calls, BB raises, TW calls, Button calls.

Final Pot: 15.16 BB

Results in white below:
BB has As Th (two pair, aces and tens).
TW has Qh Ac (one pair, aces).
Button has Qs Ah (one pair, aces).
Outcome: BB wins 15.16 BB.

THE GOOD:

HAND 1 : Finally get KK against my good buddy, and a pisser of a board to go with it! Observe the fearless value bets/raises nonetheless. :)

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed)

Preflop: TW is UTG with [Kc], [Kh].
TW raises, 5 folds, SB calls, 1 fold.

Flop: (5 SB) [Ad], [Td], [8d] (2 players)

MP2 bets, TW raises, MP2 calls.

River: (8.50 BB) [9s] (2 players)
MP2 checks, TW bets, MP2 calls.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Results in white below:
MP2 has 2h Jh (one pair, jacks).
TW has Jc Ks (one pair, jacks).
Outcome: TW wins 10.50 BB.

HAND 3 : QQ, ugliness again...not quite as fearless with this one.

Party Poker 3/6 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: TW is SB with [Qc], [Qs]. MP3 posts a blind of $3.
4 folds, MP3 (poster) checks, CO raises, 1 fold, TW 3-bets, 1 fold, MP3 folds, CO calls.

Flop: (8 SB) [3s], [7s], [Ad] (2 players)

TW has As Ah (one pair, aces).
CO has Jh Th (high card, queen).
Outcome: TW wins 11.45 BB.

So, some good and some bad...sadly, some of the bad that I did NOT post was me tilting a bit as a result of the bad that I DID post. Still gotta work on that self-control a bit.

Here's a hand that TW will appreciate. He's still learning not to bluff people on the river with nothing into someone who has the nut flush.

Seriously, bri, you wouldn't know this (since your PLO knowledge CLEARLY hasn't reached my level yet) but that river bet was GOLDEN. It's not my fault the guy was a fish and couldn't let go his measly ace-high flush against the straight-flush that any half-decent player would put me on. God...

i guess that's why he only called rather than pushing himself. He wasn't sure if I had the straight flush or not.

Ladies and gentlemen...and bri...and mecos and MVP...and monk...I have an announcement to make!

Yes, you heard that right.

One more time? Come on, just one more? No? Too bad.

So as you may have gathered, or may not have gathered if you are shockingly dense, I had a HELLUVA day today! Play 4 hours in the afternoon and another 4 in the evening, raking in a net win of...ummmmm...shit, mental math, mental math...okay, gotta use the calculator...$704!!! Can I get away with one more ? HAH! I just did!

In other exciting news, I managed to hit my FIRST ROYAL FLUSH EVER today, involving an LP raise with the POWERFUL JTsooooted against a few limpers...flop gave me a gutter and flush draw, river fuckin NAILED it. BANG! Good hands DO happen to god-awful mizors!

Right, I guess I really don't have anything else to report other than to mention ONE MORE TIME that I had a day! Already got 38 hours in for the week with two more days to come, I'm up $1450, and DAMN is life fuckin good right now! Take care, kids, and stay off prescription ear medication.

Current limit : 3-6 / 5-10 LHE

Are you playing more now that you are working again? I have been thinking about getting a part time job just so I dont have to dip into my poker earnings anymore, and I am also hoping that I will have more of a drive to play. I am only playing between 10 and 15 hours a week now and spending everything I make minus maybe 50 bucks.

I'm off to the bar now but if you are playing some 3/6 tonight I might bring in a hundered or so to blow.

And good job with all the WOOTING. Keep up the good work. By the way I hate limit. I also can't figure out how to get my woot any bigger.

Yeah it's wierd...I don't fuckin get it at all, but now that I'm back to work (albeit 20-25 hours part-time), I've turned into a workaholic as far as poker. Like I've said, I'm not sure why it happened, but all of a sudden I just got the DRIVE. Kinda weird.

There is an adjustment to today's totals. I sat down at one of BK's 3-6 tables with a MONSTER buy-in of $30...things started out bad with a rough loss taking my A8o against a savvily-played 44, but then...I managed every poker player's dream. I was able to get 54o all-in preflop against two other players! The flop, naturally, came 6-7-8 and I TRIPLED what was left of my stack to achieve an impressive +$1.50 hit-n-run. HOT SHIT!

I can attest to the 45o that TW played savagely against an unsuspecting gullible field. It was like one of those X rated Horror films. Ghastly.

Anyways, Awesome job on the hours and your massive rush today. Hope it keeps up for you man.
