Must be that new Marsupial character your playing these days but I have a theory that Good things come to those who work their A$$es off. Heard that somewhere and its usually true whether at work or for yourself.

Nice job man :!:

Man, this party network split is some serious bad voodoo for the wadster! Only 4 full-handed 3-6 tables, largeish lists, so I started playing 2 6-max and 2 full. Quickly remembered why I swore off 6-max ten or eleven times, lol! After no more than a half an hour, I scrapped the whole project, losing a quick $150. The two 10-handed tables were atrocious, but I'm used to that. The two 6-max ones just messed me up the same way they always do. No more of that shit!

Gonna hop on again a little later, hope there's a bit more 10-handed action to choose from! If not, and possibly even if so, I'm thinkin I'm gonna completely discredit my previous statement of "showing discipline by holding off on the 5-10's." Might try 2 5-10's and 2 3-6's, maybe 1 and 3, I dunno. If nothing else, 5-10 should help me clear the bonus faster, but the way those tables looked tonight...well, ugh. Ah well, just gonna have to learn to adapt to life without a Party Network!

Now honestly, that last post deserves an apology Reason being, of course, that it was written in a rather drunken state. The problem is that this post is being written no more than 6 minutes later, so that drunken state has not subsided to any extent Nevertheless, this post shall remind me that someday, down the road, when I am in a more sober state...an apology will be put forth.

P.S. There was this one really funny hand...we were playing 4-handed NL Omaha for some reason, I was dealt AA64 with 3 spades. For the first time in about an hour, someone beats me to it and gets in the first raise...so I raise to about 4z the pot and get called by two people, right? And...the flop came up something like T-9-3 with 2 spades. Not sure about the 3, but there was definitely a ten and a nine and two spades. So, two spades on the flop, three in my hand. My opponent bets something like 30 cents, I raise all in for about 60 more, he calls. He turns over a hand that I can't completely remember, but I know it involvefd a 9-8--x-x with two more spades thrown in. Okay, so I have three spades, two are on the board, and my worth opponent has another two. Which by my math equals seven spades already accounted for. BUT HERE'S WHERE IT GETS WIERD, right? Other guy is all-in, which I neglected to mention previously, and he has Q-J-T-x with two spades. So we're up to nine spades. Before the turn and river are dealt, the other guy (who had folded preflop but retained his hand) turns over his hand which was a bunch of shit but DID include the 5s and the 2s. So there's only...ummmmm....two more spades in the deck. And plenty of cards that could kill my lowly pair of aces with extremely limited back-up.

AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED!? An eight came on the turn, I lost the side pot to the one guy who lost the main pot to the other guy. Neither of those two remaining spades ever showed. I guess it just goes to show that sometimes, strange things DON'T happen. Seemed like a good story at first, I don't know.

It's just occured to me that this upcoming week is an extremely important one for a lot of reasons. First off, my bankroll has hit an all-time high. Ever since some ill-fated decisions back in mid-April, my bankroll has pretty much fluctuated in the area of 2K. There were a couple times that I hit as high as about 3K, and there were also a bunch of times that I was as low as 1000-1200.

That's about 6 months worth of poker that, while not break-even, yielded no real progress as far as my bankroll goes. So I figure now is a very good time to evaluate what happened last time I was sitting with over 4K so that it doesn't happen this time! More accurately, I'm gonna try to give myself a couple guidelines for the next few weeks.

(1) If a BTP NL cashgame suddenly happens to spring up this week, I will DEFINITELY be making other plans and will therefore not be able to attend :D

(2) No drinking whatsoever for the next two weeks. None at all. I have a light schedule for most of this week, so I really gotta buckle down and get in a ton of sober hours. Next week, I'm either working 40 or 48 hours at the gas station, so if I come home and get trashed after every shift (and trust me, that's exactly what I'll feel like doing) I'll be able to get in virtually no poker hours at all.

(3) Gonna make a strong effort to post a lot more hands in the limit forum. Ideally, that'll keep me thinking about my game and not just playing on auto-pilot.

(4) No, NO, BTP CASH GAMES! :D
