I call a 4 x the BB raise from UTG with and we're HU. Flop of and he leads. I min raise which I hate but it has the reverse phsycology on aggro SLAgs and makes 'em think you're being a donk. He calls.Turn is the case Jack, cher ching! I check and he shoves, obv I call, he has 66, nh donk...

A mild improvement was to be had last night.

I'm still getting the usual shit but in a slightly different way now. Again someone flopped the nut flush on me in a raised pot.

It's limped to me OTB about 984798 times and I raise and get one caller. This guy is the reason I'm at this table. He is 45/18 over 180 hands and prolly the biggest loser at my level.

Anyway, I flop the nut straight on a monotone board and get min raised on the flop, I shove, he turbo calls with the nut flush. GG poker.

I lost two flips with AK vs QQ and AKs vs JJ.

But the good stuff is that I ground my way out of the hole and got to be $22 up, plus $30 in bonus, which basically paid for my rake over the course of the session.

I hope to god I can find out where the switch for the heater is soon. This set-o-meter graph is getting retarded. I know it's just indicative but the blue section has all but disappeared from the graph now. In theory I should of flopped around 110 sets by now and I've flopped 84. I make the most money from sets and this is doing my head in right now.

I don't know how much longer I can take this crap.

Yeah I misplayed a couple there.

No I didn't smash my screen I closed my laptop down before I could.

Ok so, interesting couple of days.

Tuesday night, I had my coaching session with KennyG. He's a nice guy and we got on well I think. It started with him watching me play and after 10 mins or so he started making suggestions of what I should do with certain hands in certain situations. I think it's safe to say my PF game is solid as it can be. We agreed a lot of the time regarding bet sizes for cbets etc, we didn't really get into any tough spots but there was one interesting hand that came up and went down like this.

It's limped to me twice in the SB, I raise it up with KQ. UTG min raises, and MP calls, UTG is short but MP is 100bb's deep. I think UTG has AA but I call as I'm getting like, 7-1 on a call. Flop is AKQ and I check. UTG checks, and MP checks. Turn is a 7, I lead 3/4 pot and UTG shoves for about the pot. MP cold calls. It's like, $4 to me in a $30 pot so I go ahead and make a crying call but i hate it. River is a 7 and MP checks, I obv check.

UTG shows AA. MP shows 77 nice 990-1 sir.

I tell Kenny that's how I run lately. I flop two pair, against a shortie who flops a set and someone else gets runner runner quads. At least I got away from it.

So I play for an hour, and then after a small break we look through my PT database any Kenny embarrassed the life out of me by looking at my biggest losing hands over the month. I have grossly misplayed a lot of hands but he also noted that I'm running v bad, which I knew. I took at least 8 or 9 positive notes from the session. The session lasted around 2 hours and I have another booked up for the same time next week.

So last night I was naturally keen to get into the action and I ran better but also played possibly the best poker of my life. I had to go to Siobhans and pick my phone charger up and came back and played not as well but got coolered once or twice and missed a ton of flops. All told it was a winning session, for about $10. The session I played with Kenny was a winner, for around $14.

I could at last, be moving in the right direction.
