THAT is the super sick hand we've all been waiting for? It sucks obviously, but I was at least expecting a bad beat of some sort.

What MVP didn't say well enough is that had I won that hand I was pretty much guaranteed top 3 in that tourney. Everyone else was super short and the entire field was incredibly weak. I honestly thought I was going to win the whole thing, as did MVP.

My last two sessions were abominations. Disgusting. I keep getting married to hands when I know I'm beat. I realize they're difficult situations but I know better. If I keep up this kind of play, I'm due to lose my bankroll.

Example:

I limp UTG with [Ad]

Bad player limps. Good player raises to $30. Folded back to me. I opt to call. I'm iffy on that but I wanted the bad player's money in there and figured even out of position I could outplay both opponents. $1k effective stacks.

So just in that session alone I made $700 worth of mistakes (in Sklansky bucks probably like $600 or more, which is terrible.)

I guess I've lost my full concentration since this girl picked me up at the Venetian. It's nice to get laid, but I need to get my head back into the game.
