Hijack continued...hey MVP I was in Miami for a bach. party a couple of years ago and went to this really cool restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale. It was some Italian place that had a mafia type them w/ TVs showing clips from The Godfather, Goodfellas, etc. Do you know the name of that place? I keep trying to tell people about it, but can't remember the name. Sorry Kenny.

Dogg... Anthony's Runway 84...? It's by the marina... SUPER FOOD... It's TOTAL mob hangout, w/photos of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and those types... Big airplane model type-thing on the wall... I think that's the place you're talking about...

One time, I got shitfaced there waiting 3 hours for a table (stupid GF and her stupid birthday), and accidentally bumped into Junior Soprano (or a freakin look-alike) and knocked his drink all over the place ... I was crapping a green brick... waiting for someone to go lock the doors and turn out the lights ... But, he was actually really cool, and even bought me a drink...

Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin rock. You wish you were as cool as them.

Yesterday I played some poker tournies for fun. I couldn't concentrate real well, because of all the medication I had taken for my wisdom teeth. Apparently it didn't matter, because I placed 2nd in the $25 buyin on Empire. It was good to finish off my month with that $750 win.

I also played in two $50 sitngos. I paced 3rd and 4th respectively..so basically broke even on those.

I still can't concentrate real well. I was just trying to add all my monthly numbers and it took me a damn long time. Basically the point of it all, is that I withdrew more then I made. Not exactly what I was planning for the month.

So now it's obvious to me I need to budget myself a lot better. It's probably half the bankroll battle for a professional poker player. Well, at least I don't gamble it all away like Stu Ungar or anything.

I'm not gonna play for a couple of days it looks like. My teeth are progressively getting worse, and I sure as hell am not going to play poker like this. I can barely think enough to write this stupid entry. How the hell did I get 2nd place last night??

You guys will just love this one.

After successfully tilting away $150 last night after a couple of bad beats....I did manage to close the prima website. I'm glad I didn't wait for the blinds...cuz I was certain just to start throwing it away. Still it hurts. Sometimes I wonder how I can call myself a pro..but then I think that everyone makes mistakes. It's a damn good thing I got out of there.

After this whole poker debauchery that was last night; I decided to head out and have a milkshake. I needed to cool off and straighten out my thoughts. I watched Eyes Wide Shut in HD and was feeling a hell of a lot better, even though I couldn't sleep.

While lying in bed, a thought came to me. A very encouraging thought, a scary thought. I realized that I'm one of the top online NL Hold'em 1/2 players in the world. Let me repeat: in the world!

My pokertracker stats are pretty much unmatched. I know exactly what my opponents hold just by small betting patterns. I know exact pot odds and percentages in an instant. etc. etc. etc. And I'm still improving everyday.

One main thing that I need to improve upon is my damn disicpline. It's already much better then it was, but obvoiously after last night, it still needs a lot of work. I ordered the book Zen and the Art of Poker the other day, so hopefully that will help. I don't tilt often anymore...but I just want to get to the point where I'm in total control of my emotions. We'll see how it goes.

I've started rereading TJ Cloutier's NL Championship Holdem.....unbelivable book. I do believe this is the bible for NL tournments. I haven't read Harrington's book, but I have a hard time beleiving it's better then this masterpeice. The book advice also translates very well into low NL holdem ring games. This book was the start of my gradual shift in becoming a top player. Thanks TJ. I really would like to meet him someday and thank him personally.

After this long post, with incessant bragging, I wonder what comments you guys are gonna give me. Another scary thought.
