Monk I looked over the hands and I really didn't have anything worth showing. It was all pretty much ABC.

Good week so far
Current mood: calm

Well this week has gotten off to a good start. I won $252 on Sunday in 2 hours... took monday off, played 4 hours on tuesday for $249 profit...now I just need to play at least 19 more hours! haha good luck kenny.

Yesterday I had a particular hand that really made me angry. I had AA down on a shorthanded table. I raised preflop. One guy called. Flop was 8Jx. he had 910 for an openended straight draw. I bet the flop $20..he raised to $40. I moved all-in and he called another $140. He hit his straight (of course) and i told him:

"nice call"

he replied, " Don't you know anything about odds"

I said, "Yeah. In fact, the odds are pretty good last night that I XXXXed your mother."

Then the whole table laughed. Made me feel a little bit better :)

And by the way...I did the math. He didn't have proper odds to call that bet. It was close..but not quite. grrr... dumb people annoy me sometimes.

Well...somehow I plan on grind 6 hours today. We'll see how it goes. later!

Nice and easy
Current mood: optimistic

I played for two hours today on Empire and Riverbelle. boom!

wenesday: $620

keep it coming baby.

Here are two key hands (which are posted in more detail on the livepokerforum.com No limit section):

I get Q4 in the blinds on empire. I flop Q47 for two pair. I bet, lone opponent calls. Turn is a 10 completing the rainbow. I bet..he raises..I call. River is a queen. I check to him..he bets...i think a long time and decide I have him beat. I move all-in..he calls with AQ top trips top kicker and loses to my full house. Lovely :)

Another hand I get KK in EP. I limp. LP raises to $9. SB reraises all-in to about $50. I opt just to call..to try and get LP to reraise with something like AK or QQ. He does just that and moves in with QQ. My kings holds and I win around $270.

I'm 200 raked hands away from my $150 bonus on empire which I must finish by tommorow. Free money!! yay!

I only played 2 hours because $600 is a lot of money. I had a bad feeling tonight. Call it crazy....but I didn't wanna start playing with a negative, losing attuitude. I'm looking foward to grinding it tommorow.

Thank you for the support idog! I try to avoid playing when I'm not in the "zone" or whatever you'd like to call it. Problem for me, is that means 20-30 hours a week...usually on the lower end. oh well...i'm not complaining about my job. ;-)

Good luck on your endeavors as well. I see you are owning all of NJ. heh.

Uneventful
Current mood: lazy

Played 3 hours on Empire today, to unlock my $150 bonus before it expired. The cards were pretty cold so I only pulled in about $63. I would have had a losing session...but my AA held and beat KK for $150 about 15 minutes before I left. I was gonna play 1 more hour for the day..but decided to spread that out for the more profitable weekend.

I was very happy to get my bonus. :)

I worked on my taxes for a couple of hours and finally finished them... yay. Can't wait to see how much I owe next year at this time. I'm bracing for it as best I can. As least I have great records so the preperation will be easy. but ugh..it's gonna be a lot of money.

not much happening
Current mood: cranky

I only played 13 hours this past week. Bonuses added $270 to my accounts, giving me about $1500 in total profit. Great hourly rate but not enough hours. I'll post my exact stats later.

Last night I played for 3 hours to start the week and only left up $42. I suppose that's not too bad. I couldn't hit any cards at all until the end of the session...and then I still couldn't get paid off. That's poker I suppose :)

I'm gonna buy a new, sweet HDTV. In order to give myself this gift and help my bankroll, I've decided I HAVE to play 25-30 Hours for the next couple of weeks. Anything less is just unacceptable. I know I've said this before but I'm very serious. I need to move my bankroll past any risk factor. I won't be comfortable till I have 20k I think.

Later.

Interesting day
Current mood: grateful

Played a great two hour and 1/2 afternoon session at my brother's house on Riverbelle. Managed to pull in $400 fairly easily. After that I played another 2 hour 1/2 session at night, for about $40 profit. so:

tuesday:
5 hours
+$448

My late night session kinda pissed me off, but I was so happy to get back in the green. I started up $250 in 20 minutes. I was going to leave and just call it a day...i didn't feel too comfy playing for some reason. But I decided to stay after listening to my brother's advice about putting in more hours. Once again...it backfired. I ended up being down like $300 with an hour and 1/2 left. Thankfully I got back over even and was happy to leave when my timed session was over.

A big hand that cost me $200:

I raise 76s in MP. Get called by one player.

FLOP 976 pot $20
I bet $20. He calls with 33.

TURN 9763 pot $60
Yeah...he killed me with a 2 outer. How do you call that flop with pocket 33??? and that was all she wrote for my stack...I check raised him enough to get it all in. fun. He showed me the set...I yelled.

So far I have 8 hours for the week. I'm confident of I will have at least 25 by the end. go kenny! :)

Boom!
Current mood: productive

Played two sessions yesterday for a total of:

wenesday
+$809
5 hours

This was all 3-4 tabling on Riverbelle.

I had two monster hands in my night sessions where I went up $300 and down $300 the very next hand. AK vs AQ was a beauty for me..but then my set of Jacks lost to a set of queens. fun stuff.

Overall I was estatic with my play for the day. Actually my morning session was going crappily along..and all of a sudden I hit a huge, huge rush. I won like $700 in a matter of minutes...all on one table! Wish I had that happen everyday! :)

I'm looking foward to putting in some more hours today. I beleive I can get $2000 profit this week if I don't hit a bad run.

Kenny,

Rough Thursday, but at least it looks like you got off to a pretty nice start earlier in the week.

As far as getting in the hours, I have found that a heated exchange of gay jokes and vulgar names with Monk really makes the time fly by. But then again, it's not really a good way to maintain focus, so you're probably best off learning from my mistakes and not allowing the insidious Monk-man to drag your soul to new depths of hopelessness and despair.

And stop getting your damned sets cracked! ;)
