And one more lost to round out the day

Played an hour and a half of 2 tables of $20/$40 stud on partypoker. WOW. There is some REAL foul play there.

HUH!? You realize you just called my check raise where LITERALLY 0 cards will give you the best hand on 6th? Nice hand sir.

I took various beats but I try very hard not to just make this journal into a bunch of bad beats so I'll just let you use your imagination to explain my $1292 loss .

First day back with a solid internet connection: -$1919. ::sigh::

That hand history sucked because they didn't show his cards as being dealt. They need to work on that. Tough break on the hand. it was well played. I probably would have reraised after his first bet, but that's just semantics.

Hey bro,

I am going to cancel out our match tonight. Hope you don't mind. I am in a serious poker funk and I need to work this shit out before I continue with some of these matches. Going to take the rest of the night off probably and just watch a movie. I can't win a hand for shit.

Yea thats fine. The last thing you wanna do when you're in a funk is play a phenom like myself

Poll:

Which has a higher EV of the following:
A) Staying on Partypoker and raping the fish.
B) Going to Absolute and clearing chaotic amounts of bonus, with less raping. Probably more a slow grinding down of weak tights.

Xas, at your levels, i'm guessing fish at party.

i barely find the bonuses worthwhile at $25 plo8 tables... certainly not at the $50s or $100s.

So I asked a bunch of people and I decided that I am going to give Absolute Poker a try. Unfortunately $600 with firepay is the max deposit so it'll take a while before I have a decent amount of money on there. For tonight's session I picked 2 $10/$20 (6 max) on partypoker, 1 on stars, and 1 on absolute. I was doing pretty good but then Party started doing its thing. The straw that broke the camels back was AT vs. A9 on a AK6 flop with 3 clubs (I have ten of clubs he has no clubs) and he nails a 9 of hearts on the river. I decided to call it a session after that. A wise man once told me "Son, you are a mizor's mizor." Here is some evidence to how true that is.

Just put in a 2 hour and 20 minute session. I played a $15/$30 table on pokerstars (varied from 4-8 handed through the session), 2 $10/$20 (6 max) tables on party, and 1 on absolute. Started off REAL badly and lost the whole $600 I brought to the $15/$30 and most of the $400 I brought to the absolute table. I battled back and all of the sudden was up about $1400 but then I started losing to 3 outters and gutshots like it was going out of style. Still booked a fairly solid win.

+182 at Party
+138.50 at Absolute
+520 at Stars

$840 total.

At Party I ran into one of Piers and I's favorite $10/$20 (6 max) nutcases. He was a little more sedated than my last two sessions with him. He is in second place on the all time lost money to Xaston in $10/$20 (6 max) list. I have 861 hands with him and he is down $546.50 total. He is down $714 to me :D.

Piers, 8 sounds good.

No sir it doesn't. Absolute so far has been pretty good. They haven't heard of the infamous Xaston yet so when I three bet them with junk they fold on the flop to me much more often than those partypoker cats that are on to me! The reason I went there is cause they have reloads constantly, and I love free money. There's not exactly a lot of good games running though. I'd say its not a bad spot to have some of your bankroll, but if you multitable it's not a good place to have your whole roll.

Another solid session.

Played a little over 2 hours. $15/$30 full table on Interpoker. $10/$20 (6 max) on Interpoker. And 2 $10/$20 (6 max) on Absolute.

+$884.75 Interpoker $15/$30
+136 Absolute $10/$20
-$278.50 Interpoker $10/$20
+$10 Absolute Bonus!

Total: $752.25

Absolute is very interesting. You see the same people over and over and over. I think a very large percentage of them are props and they know each other pretty well. I don't see how I can keep beating them without pokertracker figuring out how they play for me, and me not figuring it out cause I'm playing 4 tables at a time.

I'm fairly uncertain about where I am going to be going with poker in the coming months. My plan was to play primarily $10/$20 and skip $15/$30 and $20/$40 more or less, and then plop myself down at $30/$60 once I hit $36,000 (I'm still a nice chunk off of this so this is purely speculation). I figured I'd stay there for a year or so. However I've been reading a bit of 2+2 forums lately and it seems as though $30/$60 is more or less a bunch of multi-tabling TAGs, half of which are paying their bills with this game. Even so, I don't see why I shouldn't be able to beat them if I really try. Also if I put maybe $4,800 on about 5 sites like Pacific, Stars, Party, Interpoker, and Absolute I'd really have a lot of tables to choose from. I certainly don't want to stay at $10/$20 for all of eternity, but if my hourly rate will be higher crushing these guys (although what I've been doing in $10/$20 the last week or so is hardly crushing) than it would be chopping up one fishes money with the rest of the TAGs at $30/$60 it would be silly to play the $30/$60 game right? On the flip side if I stay at $10/$20 I'll never be able to beat $50/$100 and $100/$200. Mecos, you're in a similar boat bankroll wise, and we play the same game (although I dabble in other games and I don't know whether or not you do), what are your plans? And if you say go to the commerce and play the live games where $30/$60 is still packed with morons I'll cockslap you.
