I don't think your posts reflects any sort of immaturity at all. My heart still flutters when my wife tells me that she loves me... and I'm almost twice your age.

Just don't let her mess up your poker. :wink:

Wow. That was a fun excersize. It shows you the crazy swings I go through in fast forward! At the top of page 4 I was down for my total up till then :shock:. I was really starting to think, oh fuck maybe I haven't been making any money! Buuuut I started stringing together some big wins around maybe page 9 or some shit and it turns out I have actually made an awful lot for a little shit like myself since starting this thing.

Today was Bobe's funeral. The part that got to me the most was my father and brother, who are not currently on speaking terms, hugging each other in this time of mourning. Touching stuff. :cry:

But enough about that stuff, when you read Piers journal you're reading for the good recipes, when you're reading MVPs its for the lesbian stories, when you're reading Mecos' its for the plethora of words he has made up or borrowed from another language and expect us to know (What the fuck is a Mizor?). Since I am more or a less a dull guy, I take it that people that read this read it for the poker content, so let me give you what you crave.

After the ceremony and the after ceremony family mingling over Entenmann's desserts and coffee, I hopped on a 5 handed $30/$60 game on UB. It quickly filled up however. There was one loose/bad player, a couple fairly poor players, and the rest seemed decent but certainly didn't make me say "Wow that guy can play!" That said, these guys were not the crazy poo flinging mizors of Party $10/$20 I'm used to. $30/$60 seems like a game where simply playing "good cards" pre flop won't cut it, without good table selection skills (which I lack and need to work on) that is. That's just fine with me because I consider myself pretty good at mixing it up and reading hands. It really seemed like an interesting challenge to outplay these guys. I made $625 in about an hour and 45 minutes. Woulda been over $1000 if KQ didn't beat my AK on a K529 no flush draw board, but I'll leave the whining and bitching for Mecos.

Has anyone ever noticed how when I talk about my near future plans in this journal, I never follow them? I promised less bonus chasing and more partypoker spanking, and yet hear I am on UB clearing bonus at the blistering rate of $3/hr.

She said I could tell you rock, I could tell by your charm.

For the second day in a row I woke up before 2 o'clock. This is getting absurd.

I played 4 tables of $10/$20 (6 max) on partypoker and started off pretty poorly, but things turned around after a while. I flopped a LOT of sets, but my winning percentage with them was pretty poor. 77 vs. QT on a 67Q flop we go 3 bets, Q turn we go 3 bets, 6 on the river. I'm actually pretty upset with myself for calling the river bet. I knew he had a queen, who cares if the pot is gigantic? I shoulda folded, but I digress. I played for two hours before I got some message that "This table is being closed for maintenance, please try another table" from Partypoker on all my tables, so I had to call it quits. The games were super soft so I was planning on putting in at least another hour, oh well. Came out $916 ahead. Woo!

Last night I logged onto Partypoker and I saw the 3,000,000,000th hand nonsense going on so I decided to try and increase my chances of hitting one of the key hands so I fired up 7 tables. Really bad idea. I ran poorly on the bigger tables ($20/$40 and $15/$30) while doing pretty decent at $10/$20. I was way too early to get dealt into any of the special hands and all of the sudden a half hour later I was down almost $1,100! Craziness. The internet went down shortly after so I couldn't put in a night session last night or play today. I may play tonight but it's already 11 and I'm not feeling it right now. I bought The Complete Calvin and Hobbes today. It's fucking sweet.

Thanks for the link.

I've been playing with the idea of getting a tattoo of them on the underside of my right forearm for a little over a year now. However, I'm a bit of a bitch and I also am well aware that most people that get tattoos when they are young wish they didn't have them when they are older, so for now its just an idea I'm tossing around in my head.

I have mixed feelings on him ending the strip. Of course I would have liked for their to be more to read, but a lot of people go past their prime. I would hate to see the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip equivalent of Ali vs. Holmes. If Watterson felt he couldn't create quality Calvin and Hobbes strips anymore, then I'm glad he stopped.

I played a quick lucrative 45 minute session on UB. Lost $283 playing $10/$20 heads up, made $45 in shorthanded $15/$30, and $916 in a full $30/$60 game. Cleared a whopping $7 in bonus. +$685.

I read a little bit of ESPN's stupid book "The Best Hand I Ever Played" at Border's. Chip Reese's was about his first time in the big game. He is really an amazing player, probably the best ever. Basically all the big boys of the time were playing $400/$800 Stud H/L. And Chip a young college kid whom was in Vegas with their friend had a combined $30,000 to their name. Chip basically said there was no way he could lose in the game and that they were playing very poorly. He sat in and made a nice score and became a regular. The concept of a young unknown seeing a game with the best of the best and saying "Wow, I can slaughter that game, those guys are not playing optimally at all," is a mix between scary, hilarious, and fascinating to me.

I played two short sessions today. One was two tables of $10/$20 (6 max) right before the BTP WCOOP tourney and I won a whopping $76. I then lost my $11 tournament buy-in despite having a comical chip lead right from the get go. I more or less never play well in forum tournaments, such is life.

After the tournament I took a fairly long break and I just played another short session. I hopped on a $15/$30 (6 max) and $10/$20 (6 max) on UB and a $10/$20 2-7 triple draw shortly afterwards. Nothing spectacular on hold em tables, a river two outter here, a nut straight running into a baby flush there, AA losing to 99 in a capped pot, but really not that bad. I also had enough top pairs hold up to stay afloat. One guy sat down with me at the 2-7 table and I just clobbered him. He bought in for $400. I took it all. He rebought for $200 more. I took it all. Then he sat down with like $700 and I even took a teeny bit of that before leaving. I lost one big pot against him near the end where we both drew 2 and I got a 23447 which is a collosal draw and we went several bets but then he made a pat 7 and I made an 87. Can't win em all.

Football didn't go so hot this weekend, looks like about a $50 (my standard bet per game) loss.

Early Session= +$76
BTP Tourney = -$11 (Don't spend it all in one place now Brian!)
$10/$20 (6 max) = -$41
$15/$30 (6 max) = -$15.50
$10/$20 2-7 Triple Draw = +$665.50
Bonus = $6 WOOOOOOO
Football = -$50

Total: $630.

I think I'm gonna move to Venezuela with Piers. $5,000-$10,000 for a house sounds damn good to me.

Yuck.

Just got spanked to the tune of $960 in a heads up $10/$20 game. It's weird, I didn't feel like he was getting terribly lucky, but I also didn't feel outclassed. Not a lot of 2, 3, 4, or 5 outters really, but it seemed more like whenever I flopped real well to my hand he had nothing, but when he hit it hard, I had a strong second best hand. Yuck.
