I'm about half-way done clearing the PS bonus. I really don't like it there for numerous reasons:

1) The players there are much tighter than other sites. When the blinds are 200/400 there should not be SIX players remaining with less than 10x the BB (and one slightly big stack). I've even been at 400/800 blinds with FIVE players remaining! Most of us had around 1000-3000 chips then.

2) The players are far more aggressive. I know, good competition, right? Say it's folded to me on the button and I have KTs with 15x BB. Of course I open-raise 3x here. One of the blinds often goes over the top and I simply cannot call off 80%-100% of my chips when I'm a dog to any a-high hand or pocket pair.

3) There's only 9 players, so the prize pool is smaller. Most SNG players are so awful I don't mind the extra dead money. Kuso argues this 10th player could knock me out, so perhaps it evens out. I obviously cannot compare PS 9-player to PS 10-player, but I will say I'm pissed with the payout. When the high blinds creep along, luck is a huge factor. Sometimes I'll be big-stacked ITM with a 2:1 chip advantage against them. I put one of them all-in with AQ and she calls with 77. She's now big-stack and I'm crippled. We both made the right plays - she just happened to win and now I need to get lucky.

However, I do like a few things about PS. I like the starting chips and blind structure (except the 100/200 ante 25 -> 100/200 ante 50 part, which I find worthless). And I like how it takes almost no time to start up a new SNG.

On a non-poker related note... these last two weeks of school are brutal. I have to write a 17 page paper on "Cognitive Effort Involved in Note-Taking", and I have a few final exams, with one of them cumulative.

After doing a lot of work I usually think getting laid is the best way to celebrate. Man, I need a girlfriend again. Or at least a girl who I could have sex with often.

For some reason, I did a LOT better on the $25+2s than the $15+1s. I played about 3/4 $15+1s and 1/4 $25+2s. Maybe $15+1 is the bonus whoring one, which would explain the tight-aggressive play so frequent there. Don't get me wrong, the $25+2s on PS also have tight-aggressives, but not as many.

Now I have to decide where to go next. I wish more people here were familiar with PokerRoom so I could whore it up. I can always deposit another motherload into BoDog, perhaps $2000 this time for a $200 bonus. I'm trying to make sure I don't withdraw and redeposit too close together there since I hear BoDog is tough on bonus whores (and I just cleared their bonus a few weeks ago).

Later tonight I'm supposed to be seeing our local improv comedy group with Maria and then going to my friend's house party. I really want to invite Allison and Rachel as well, but ya know, I think it would just be an awkward situation. I joked with my neighbor Jon that I should play spin the bottle with them. Either they make out with each other, or make out with me. Good game, right?

Speaking of my neighbor... we had this crazy w33d last night. It was some strain of "haze", apparently one of the better quality strains out there. And damn did that f*ck us up! Pricey stuff though.

And I REALLY should start working on that 11-page paper due Tuesday.

Surprise! None of my plans worked out! I went to the Pappy Parker Player's aftershow party with a buddy of mine, Andrew. And Saturday night I was invited to my DJ, Tom's house. Tom is awesome - I wish I tried out for the campus radio last year. Now I'm down to one last semester - and I'll finally have my own show. I'm thinking of doing a mix of comedy, improv comedy, experimental, and "loud rock" for my radio show.

These papers and final exams are f*ckin annoying. I've been "joking" with Allison that having sex after all these would be the best feeling in the world. And she adds "I'd rather have it before to clear my head". Well yeah, I'd take it before, during, and after.

And apparently my ex wants me to visit and is being very sexually suggestive. I was talking with that stud Brian about it earlier. I don't think visiting her would be a good idea, I'm trying to avoid getting entangled into her life again. My friend Rana, after sharing the convo with her, told me it sounds like my ex wants me to try a relationship with her again. She might be right - my ex was saying stuff about how she's changed and how accomodating D.C. is to vegans. Oh yeah, and my ex, Carly, also recently broke up with her boyfriend.

When I was drunk, I thought it'd be a great idea. I know we'd be having a lot of sex, afterall. And god knows how badly I need to get laid again!

So... Allison is not a possibility. Invited her over last night, we drank a bit, made dinner, talked about whatever. We had a grand ol' time! Then I tell her I like her and ask what she'd think of trying a relationship next semester. She's just like "I'm flattered... but I only think of you as a friend". Bleh! So we try to go back to talking casually and I walk her back. She jokes about how she would be a bad girlfriend anyway on the way back. I was not amused.

Stupid f*cking finals on Monday!

You shoulda skipped the relationship crap and just tried to stick it in... Bad luck though...

Here's what I know... she really wants to get laid before finals. Or after. She has directly told me that. Perhaps she'd be interested in the friend, who I happen to have sex with sometimes. Not necessarily a friends with benefits, but a "school is stressful - let's have sex" buddy.
