Back home in Rochester... a quick summary of the last few nights
Two nights ago I chilled with some college friends of mine, who live in Utica during summer.
Last night I chilled in my college area, Binghamton, with whoever was around for summer school (or who already lives there). We also ended up driving to Ithaca that night. I gotta tell ya, I absolutely LOVE Ithaca. It's the perfect place for chill kids like me!
On the bad side, my exhaust now is really loud. It's extremely likely the catalytic converter is the problem, which costs about $300 to fix. Bleh! But everything else with the car is working out nicely.
I have to step up my poker hours a bit. Lately I've been experimenting with Doyle's Room's speed tournaments, where blinds increase every 3 minutes - mostly to just clear this bonus quicker. I thought these would be huge variance like UB's ultra-turbo tournaments or whatever, where blinds increase every minute, but so far all has been well. The donks will knock themselves out with multiple people all-in pre-flop or on the flop with a large variety of hands and draws. You just play it tight until the blinds get big (which comes quickly - 20/40, 30/60, 50/100, 100/200, 150/300...) and then use your ICM knowledge for the push-botting. Sometimes I don't even need to play a hand before I'm ITM! Also, early on in these, play those big hands in big pots every time. QQ+ should be raised and re-raised every time. Someone will pay you off nearly 100% of the time.
I still have to play another 5 hours or so on Doyle's Room before I cash out with my $850+ (after bonus clears).
