Put in over 9 hours of work today and a little over 2350 hands and I just about got no love at all. The vast majority of those hands were at 100 NL were I managed to drop about 350.00. KK 11 times with 6 miniscule wins, 2 times ran it into AA, overall negative for the day. Another set over set I lost as well to go along with the joy. Also played some 200, 400, and 600 NL which I showed a little profit on. Jumped over to 15 30 shorthanded limit for a few hands and made back 230 and them played 5 tables of 510 for another 100 and cleared the PStars bonus. So for the day I won a little over 150 in large part courtesy of the bonus. A couple of the highlights, and there were only a couple in all 2K+ hands.

The fact that I have ended up ahead today, 80+, with all the god awful beats just shows my world class ability, that and the fact that 120 of that is the PokerStars bonus  Really just got smashed with one beat after another but I managed to put on a couple myself so can't complain too loudly.

10-20 shorthanded: +297.00
NL 1000: +147.00
5-10 limit: -349.50
36 limit: -116.50
24 limit: -60.00
NL 200: +5.95
NL 400: + 12.10

1400+ hands

Highlight of the day was pounding this guy right after he sucked a 5 outer on me the previous hand for a smaller pot.

PokerStars 10/20 Hold'em (4 handed)

PIers: I like the new piers style, ram & jam a draw out of position, and whatnot. Of course your world class abilities dictate that your gonna get there, so the reraise was for value anyway! Shorthanded Holdem needs to be played with a mizorly style. He gave up 4 bets on 2pair with a one card straight on the board eh? He mustve been a little tilted -- he mustve been the guy who lost to your 25o. NiHan!!

Oh and btw, if you ever get the time, im a little curious as to what your shorthanded PT stats are.

After a good morning and evening session of 100 NL I was up about 400 so I thought I would push the envelope and play some 1530 shorthanded and of course the first hand I get is the nut flush draw that fails to come through and I start out in the whole and then further in the whole in a series of semi bad beats and a few bad calls. Finally got a big hand that held up to get me to about -300 for the short handed/full ring game 15 30 run. Then played just a little shorthanded 10 20 and 30 60 to pull within -170 so still up for the day a little over 200.00.

The One Big Hand At 15-30 amongst the other nightmares. I cap it preflop as MK would say as the moral favorite to KK and QQ but I am a lucky player and a powerful winning force surrounds me 8-)

PokerStars 15/30 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Ad], [Kh].
4 folds, MP2 raises, 1 fold, CO 3-bets, 1 fold, Hero caps, 1 fold, MP2 calls, CO calls.

Flop: (13 SB) [Qc], [Ts], [Jc] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, MP2 calls, CO calls.

Turn: (11 BB) [3h] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, CO calls.

River: (14 BB) [6d] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP2 calls, CO calls.

Final Pot: 17 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ad Kh (straight, ace high).
MP2 has Qh Qs (three of a kind, queens).
CO has Kc Kd (one pair, kings).
Outcome: Hero wins 17 BB.

Pretty satisfying 2nd place finish in the BTP HORSE tourny although I lost my last longer bet to TW who won the thing. Got crippled early on by two consecutive 2 out suckouts and made it to the final table in last position and fell all the way to 600 chips before forging a comeback.

Nothing like thinking you have found some lost money and then realizing it was just a Firepay transaction that hadn't cleared yet so that extra money I thought I had was just an illusion  Couldn't figure out how I could have misplaced that extra money and it turned out that I didn't.

Down about 100 thus far today. Started off with a BANG in the wrong direction. Very first hand of the day for your viewing displeasure.

Games in the early morning at Empire at the 510 limit anyway are just pretty bad and I am going to just start play later in the afternoon from here on out. Nothing like sitting at a table with everyone with a VIP in the teens. Beatable yes but not at a rate worth messing with.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Kc], [Kh]. CO posts a blind of $5.
6 folds, CO (poster) raises, 2 folds, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

Flop: (8.40 SB) [5s], [5h], [3s] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

Turn: (8.20 BB) [Th] (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

River: (12.20 BB) [2d] (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 14.20 BB

Results in white below: [color=#FFFFFF]
Hero has Kc Kh (two pair, kings and fives).
CO has 10 10 fullhouse
Outcome: CO wins 14.20 BB.

Decided to call it a night after a short 1020 and 1530 session recouped most of my losses for the day. I still need to pack some things for a few day trip out to my land. Leaving early tomorrow morning and returning probably by Saturday night. Going to be looking for a place to rent until I can get our house built, one preferably with a phone line which might be hard to find in the area

Posted my second losing month of the year and I suppose it could have been much worse as I had 6 losing days and 4 of those were very substantial losses (-1706, -3004, -833, -925). Ended up a little over 600 down. On the bright side I managed to finally put in good number of hours for the month at nearly 175 hours. Still nearly up 11K for the year but pretty disappointed overall as I was at 9400 the first week of March but I guess sometimes you just run bad and I have had more than my fair share of beats over the last 2.5 months. Overall I feel that I am playing as well or better than I have ever played so I am looking for good things to come for the remaining portion of the year. Leaving for the US in less than 2 weeks until the first week of August. Hopefully I will be able to find time to play a few hours each day while there.

PIers-

Sorry to hear about your crappy results. Beleive me, i feel you on that one. I was up about 13k in mid march, and now, 150 hours later, am up 11k or so on the year as well.

Im tellin you, things are tough all around...I think the games are getting less beatable, unless everyone i know is just running bad at the same time...Too much free info on how to play well available out there.

One theory i also have is that holdem is too easy and info on it is too available. And in order for someone to be good enough at holdem that the EV advantage of a good player versus him is not that big, he just has to apply a very few basic principles.

Im tellin you dude, we should move to 2-7 triple draw or Pineapple, where no one can read a book to tell you how to play. Problem is i dont know how to play em either. Shit.

Made it back this evening. Actually a pretty good trip that accomplished the goals I had in regard to finding a place to rent until I get my house built. Found the guy to build the house as well. Just played a little this evening as I am kind of tired. Perhaps will play a little more as I have to put in alot of hours before my trip to the US on the 9th as I need to knock out all the Crypto bonuses as well as the Party bonus before I leave.

My goal for today was to knock out all 7 Crypto monthly bonuses but I came up short mainly because I tapped out my 90.00 at Interpoker while working on it. I did finish up the other 6 though and ended the day with a 260+ profit for the drudgery. A long and tiring day of low limit holdem.

A pretty slow day overall as I had to go pick up my airline tickets and take some photos for my VISA stuff. Only played 40 minutes. Probably put in quite a bit of time tomorrow clearing the party bonus.

Just plain damn forgot about the HORSE tourny.
