my current PS bankroll is
$190

I have 40 more FPPs to collect so I will get the $50 bonus and it will cover my loss and hopefully mean something in the end. I hope I will not donk another $40 in those 40 points. Yesterday, I was observing my friend play.. there was a funny hand that apparenty doesnt happen only to me.. my friend (John) was OTB with [Ah][Js] and he raised PF. BB called and flop was [8c][5d][Jh]. John CBets and gets a call. Turn is [2s] and John checks and this guy puts him all in. John insta calls and river is another [2c]. Guy has [Ac][2h] and takes the pot.
***
I was thinking about adjusting my play at NL10 table to be much more loose in my PF hand selection but to still keep the raising range as I have until now (10%-11%) because this will include more gappers and more suited cards for more straight and flush possibilities as well as some 2pair and other situations where the board hits my cards. I was even thinking about calling raises with such cards and then easily get rid of them if flop doesn't hit me hard.
This doesn't seem as a very profitable type of play but I think that in the end it might be. I am still not sure against which types of players I can do this and if I can do this at all, but yesterday I picked up my VPIP to 40% with PFR of 10% and this worked decently. I was also combining this with some relative "donk betting" (but still not giving odds for different draws) and it payed off rather well, as opposed to when I pound a lot and people just fold or call me when they have set+ ..
It became increasingly difficult to make money on these tables as people are not paying you off unless you happen to have a higher set then they do, or you catched a flush on the turn against the odds or you flopped a straight with a flush redraw (like what happened to me yesterday) and the other guy has a straight too... I mean, the situations to get paid off have to be very very tight or you have to be against a player that is really willing to pay you off with 2nd pair because he doesn't trust you...
***
I think I will clear this bonus at PS and then go back to Party to clear their 15% up to $100 reload. After that, with no losses I hope, I will go back to stars and play there some more (if I don't find a nice bonus that I can clear in the meantime)...

cheers..

I played this evening and realized that it really is true what my friends tell me about the time period I have to dedicate to Poker Stars. It from 11pm GMT+1 till the morning because then there is most of the american players playing, and from what I have seen, man, they do stupid things.. During the day there is not so much of them around and it is the time when europeans hunt each other...
this might not be really true, but from what I have seen, and from what they tell me, it is..
***
I had a 600 hands (4 tables) session now and I am $27 up for the time and I managed to donk of a stack like complete donkey.. notice the chat.. it's because something froze and I was afraid that I wont be able to make a flop call... now I wish it stayed blocked and that it folded me there... that's also my by far biggest loss of the day.. now for some happier hands..
flopped a here.. guy chased down his and thank god it was weaker than mine..
this guy was bound to lose with his however he played them pre or post flop.. only way he could win was to push PF and I would probably fold, but not call/push because I would call that def... straight away push and I fold like a rabbit.. anyway, he played this terribly and got punished...
this mega-donk already bullied me once few hands back like he tried to do here.. then, I was in with something very marginal and tried to build my weak to a raise image.. .apparently it worked.. I played the previous exactly the same way as , only difference, now I called his push.. dont ask me about donk raising and beting.. it was the only way to make something happen at this table..
i dont think i could have extracted more from this guy, and besides, i didnt want to because i was looking for a cheap showdown because the board was rather scary so anything that is fine by me, as long as it wins it for me

so, my current PokerStars bankroll is
$0

lol.. right.. but that's because I cashed out since I cleared the $50 bonus.. actually, I cashed out $267 and I will invest them together with my additional $110 from moneybookers into the easy 15% up to $100 at PartyPoker.. I think that bonus clearing will take about hour and a half and then I cashout and go back to Stars or find another bonus to chase down...

cheers..

Ok, I have seen this over at MTPaid's journal, and I must admit, this is pretty impressive stuff. If you haven't heard about this yet, or even downloaded it, please, hurry... is a Poker Tracker add on like Poker Grapher but the difference being that it calculates the bet/equity and famous Sklansky Bucks for you, and this is just in beta (which works really nice for me).. It has more nice options and I think You should get it cause it will help you in some way mos def.
**
Gotta run now.. I think I'll pinch the Party bonus today... cheers...

Yesterday I noticed that I can deposit to Pacific Poker through moneybookers, and since I heard good things about Pacific, I deposited $200 that I have free right now in order to get the $50 bonus (it's $100 max, but I don't have another $200 on MB right now) and to take a look at the software, players and stuff everyone was talking about...

so, my conclusion up to now is:
software sucks.. it's ugly, its slow, it has glitches.. only thing i like about it is the filter in the lobby where you can sort the tables by players-flop and pot size and some more stats..

players suck ... at least for now.. and this is of course lovely.. they tend to call me down with T high when I have 2nd pair so I get to earn some bucks with shitty cards and it seems that I always know when they have something.. maybe I am wrong, but the players I encountered up until now are kind of predictable.. only thing about them that doesn't suite me is that they can make me fold a better hand sometimes... I had [9s][9h] and raised PF (oh yes, they love to call big PF raises and reraises with literally shit).. got 2 callers and the pot was $2.50 by now.. flop was [5c][8h][8s] and even though I had an overpair I folded to a guy making an OOP $2 bet and another guy calling that bet.. I figured that I can donk a lot of money now and felt that this is not a profitable situation in the long run.. in the end, the OOP bettor had Js5c and got the pot with 2 pairs (8855) against other guys [As][Jc].. so, yeah, I would have won here heftily but still, I couldn't have known that at the time, and OOP guy didn't donk bet (small bet) on flop.. i wait until i am pretty sure that I am in front and then I raise them and they love to call so that makes up for occasional miss..

PT support ... I hate it that i need the pacific handgrabber tool that costs $50 and I can't afford it right now. I doubt it that I will be buying one even when my roll reaches $1000 since that's 1 buyin at NL50 and I want to be picky about my roll...

that's about it on pacific.. so, even though its ugly, i think i might have an edge against these players and this should make up for the fact that I will not have this written in my PT database.. which I am sad it won't..

heh, anyone of you highrollers wanna back me up on the pacific handgrabber? :D

ph yea, i decided against clearing the Party bonus because it's something like 3xPP for $1 in money, so for me to get $100 there I have to earn 300 party points, and I have to do it by 29th of may.. i don't think so, since I remember that these party points dont just flow into my account at .5/.10 and party was "wise" enough to remove the 5x raked hands requirement..

as for my roll..
Pacific Poker. deposited: $200 .. current status: $278.60 including the $50 bonus

PokerStars . $55

PartyPoker . $10

Moneybookers . $115

I am still playing at Pacific and for the time being "I'm lovin' it"... Yesterday, at NL10 I had a stack of $32 and open pushed [As][Ad] from UTG. I got a call from a guy having $11 and [Ac][Th]. My aces held up and I was then at $42 bucks.. You gotta love it. I mean, I raise from MP with [As][Ac] and guy pushes for $5 with [7h][8h]. I call and I lose do to the trips.. Never mind, but you can see where this is going... I love it at pacific right now, I really do and I haven't played more than 2500 hands there... what's the PTBB for that ? say, 3000 hands and +$72 at NL10 ?
Too bad I can't use my PT with it due to the phucked up non existent hand histories from them, and I am not paying $50 for Idleminner's Handgrabber, but still, I make a lot of notes and I exercise my brain this way..

My roll...
Pacific Poker $322 including $50 bonus
PokerStars $55
PartyPoker $10
Moneybookers $115
---------------------------
$502

p.s. def sticking with pacific for the time being..
