Time for an update and besides, I think It's just fair to post my February results here as well..
Before I do, I must say that I feel really good because I actually started playing 21/19 and kept that for a whole month without modifying my play to suite the "good looking" stats and without thinking about it too much.. Now, when I sit and play I am a 21/19 player on average and yes, that makes me happy. That being said, my turn and river aggression are abysmally small compared to what is considered a good turn and river AF.. Still, I tend to think that it's because of somewhat looser competition I face which can't be bullied off of their 2nd pair easily sometimes + I've started taking more lines that actually get me to showdown and in that department I might even seem calling stationary because now my WtSD is 29% and truth be told, I don't mind. That being said, there are certainly areas that I need to improve in my game...
I won't play today because I very tired from yesterday and I didn't sleep much (only 4hrs for some reason) and I need to do some backing up and arranging of files and stuff because I am going to my friends house in the afternoon to assemble my new computer. Not to be a worthless thread without pictures, for my own amusement I'll post the picz of what computer I bought, component by component... This cost me around $1.2k USD, but would have cost me less had the fcking dollar not fallen below what I imagined possible..
So, Xaston, if by any remote chance you're reading this, I would really suggest you buy something like the above as it's obv. a great setup and if I managed to get it for $1.2k, then you'll be getting it for much less since everything is more expensive in Croatia...
So, back to poker theme.. February really took me on course to my $40k year goal and I am again very confident that I will achieve that goal. I am also very confident that I will move up to NL400 within a couple of months.
I have finally decided against the trip to Alaska, and although I really would like to go there I have made another choice. I will go to Sochi.
It's where the 2014 Winter Olympics will be held and it's in Russia. It's actually where my mother is from. I was there last time in 1998 so I think I am long overdue since up to 1992 (from 1979) I was there every year for aprox 2 months. Needless to say, I feel breathless when thinking about that place and I can't wait (for years now) to go there again. It is beautiful and I have some of my nicest memories from there. I estimate that I will need aprox. $8.000 for everything, and obv. I plan to go with my mother.. My father is an option, but I am uncertain if he will join us.
I think I will pay for the whole trip and any costs that we might have there. Sochi is considered an elite place to stay so everything is more expensive then in other places. Thankfully, we have a flat there so we will be staying there and won't have to rent anything or stay in the hotels or sanatoriums (<- hotels with all-inclusive health care, not for mentally ill, but for rich ppl).
So far I've found that 2 return tickets from Zagreb to Sochi (Adler Airport) through Moscow will cost me around $1600 cheapest. Now, I will start looking for the alternatives like Zagreb-Istanbul-Sochi (which is also closer) but so far I had no luck.. It seems that all flights to Sochi (Adler) go through Moscow which fcked up...
So, yeah, not to tl;dr this even further I'll just say that I hope my next post in this journal will be made on a brand new fully equipped mofo of a box and that I hope I'll destroy the 1/2 and hopefully 2/4 in March as well!!
