Keeping a poker journal is fun. When you flop top set and lose to a backdoor straight, and noone in your life gives a sht about it (rightly so), you can post it in your journal. It's like having a poker buddy that is always there to listen even if he/she does not have much to say in return.

As for your move down to NL10 I think it's a smart move. Stay there until you are comfortable with the amount of tables you are playing and aren't making any major mistakes and then move back up. I didn't read it anywhere in your posts, are you using Pokertracker? If not, please get it so you can post some stats after awhile and get some feedback and identify leaks. If you already have it...please move along.

I think you need a longer-term goal than just hitting 6k...with enough playing that can be done in just a few weeks.
