Finished down $6.60 tonight. Well, after a two week hiatus from online poker and a one week hiatus from cold & rainy New England (was visiting my cousin in Santa Barabara, California), back to the grind. As I kind of figured, tonight was the "shake the rust off" session. Misplayed a couple of AQ hands early which accounted for all of the above-noted loss plus some, so I can't really complain tonight. Got my act together for the rest of the session and once again feel comfortable behind the computer.
Drove six hours through the Mojave to play some live poker over the weekend in Las Vegas - played 1/2 $200 max at the MGM Grand and the Monte Carlo. From my short experience playing in casinos (read: these two sessions), I'll say that most of the people I played aganist play way too many hands and call way too often, as is the case online. I will say that TAG worked less well, I got far less action than my opponents did, and that REALLY hurt. Lost $200 at the MGM and won $130 back at the Monte Carlo. Not too terribly bad for my first live experience outside home games. I think I'm going to stick to online play, I can make far more playing more hands right here at home than traveling to Foxwoods to play in a game I'm surely way underbankrolled to play.
I'm going to combine my "half week" before I left and the rest of this week this coming Sunday and catch-up my weekly recap at that point.
I see things are pretty status quo around here.
