A bunch of us went to the casino(1 hour drive) last night and when we got there I found out the poker room is closed on Wednesdays
. Since I'm the only one that wanted to play poker I started thinking about what I was going to do for the 5+ hours the crew wanted to stay. This is a dry casino so sitting in the bar isn't an option......fawhadfuiaedha. As soon as one of the guys figured out the poker room was closed he immediately said "if Charlie can't play cards we need to pack up and head south (1 hour drive) to the Shooting Star Casino". On the way out my wife put $20 in a machine and hit
$980 on the first spin, she cashed out and off we went. The Shooting Star is a much larger casino that normally has 2-3 tables of 2-10 or 3-20 SLHE running at any given time. Only one table of 2-10 is running and the list is 2 deep so i figure it could be 20-30 mins. The players are your typical terrible and there is only one good/decent player in the mix. About 20 minutes later I'm called and end up to the immediate left of the good/decent player. The rest of the table is is made up of 1/2 lagtards and 1/2 loose passives so any position is pretty good. I played for 3.2 hours and booked a win of
$270.
On line I'm just slightly above break even for the last 20k hands, considering I was down nearly 7 buy-ins about 10k hands ago I'll take the small win. I'm working off the Easter bonus on Cake with 2921 hands in at the FR $100's I have $30 in pending bonus left and I'm up +2 buy-ins. If I can get all my projects done today I'm going to crank out the rest of this bonus. Because of the deposit fees I think the only way to make the Cake bonuses work is to leave an adequate roll for level you are playing on the site. Good luck all
I refuse to go to treatment, because they don't serve Scotch there.
