Ran some numbers on the Codepoker bonus.

To get the $1000 bonus at max efficiency (after 4500 raked hands) you need to run at about 8.8PTBB/100 on the $100 6 max tables or 6.6PTBB/100 at the $200 tables. Both of these are pretty tough to achieve of course. That said I'd guess that 30% RB is worth maybe 1.5 PTBB/100, so it's still a pretty decent bonus if you are decent winner (with a huge upside if you run hot).

You need to play 50% more actual hands at $100 (over 12k compared to 7.5k @ $200) to get to the raked hands target.

I can't really work out if this means it's a better bonus at $100 (as it's worth up to 4.4PTBB/100 there) or it's better at $200 as it's easier and faster to max out.

Apart from playing higher stakes to increase variance if you have the hands but not a very big bonus towards the month end (as I did this month), another strategy might be to play the bigger MTT's early in the month (they have a $20k gtd $30 rebuy nightly at 8pm UK time I think) and if you luckbox a big win, then increase it by 50% simply by low risk short-stacking 8 $100 tables until you rack up enough hands to qualify...

Meh - first two days of the month not gone well..typical when I've just moved up..

Played the $40k $20 rebuy on the 1st - looking good for the money when I got all in with KK vs AK and he rivered an A - lol donkaments -$61

Played some $200 same night and got my AA cracked twice in a row - vs an 88 that rivered a flush and KK that hit a set... -$230

Played some more $200 this morning - got an AK limp push called by JJ (poor call I think as he is either a flip or way behind..) and I lost the flip and spent the rest of the time surrounded by 70/30 donks that just kept hitting flops -$270

So 3 days into month I'm in a $560 hole. Given the way the Codepoker bonus works (as a bonus on profit) I'm tempted to can Codepoker this month and go off and play some Dise or B2B instead..

Have also cashed out $2000 today so my roll is down to $6500 - if I keep losing when I hit $6000 I'll drop back to $100 6 max anyway and my 'shot' at $200 will come to an end.. for another month at least..

got all-in pf AA vs QQ and 99 in first round (held up)

all in pf AK vs QTs v J8s (which didn't)

hit a set with JJ (II re-raised pf and managed to beat QTs)

got all in AK vs KQs which didnt hold up

average stacked at end of rebuy - bought add-on

lost most of my stack with an OESD with 2 guys already all-in in front of me (high variance but correct if I was going to build up) - they had TP ten kicker and TP 8 kicker..

finally pushed with sooted junk from blinds and go called - had 2 live cards but missed..
