I have finally been humbled at Prima. I was 3 tabling again and ran into this hand fairly early on...

.10/.20 NL 10 Players
I have [Ah][Ad] on the Button.
MP1 limps, CO limps. The pot is $.70 when it gets to me so I raise to $1 hoping to get just 1 caller.
SB calls and has $18.40 left
CO calls and has $7.54 left
I have $18 after my raise.
Flop is [2d][As][9d] Pot - $3.40
Checked to me and I bet $2. SB calls, CO folds.
Turn [Qd] Pot - $7.40
SB bets $4.40. I have 2 options. I can either call or push. I'm fairly certain he has the flush, but I have 17 outs (paired board or any diamond) so I just call.
River [8h] Pot - $16.20
He bets $2 and I call. He shows [Kd][6d] for the flush.

My 1st real bad beat since starting here and I'm down half a stack at this table and for about the next hour it wasn't really getting any better. I was due for a loss anyway after running red hot over the past week at Prima so I just focused on playing well and getting away as cheap as possible. It actually felt like I was getting slowly deystroyed, but I was up on the other 2 tables so I was really just about even.

Then way, way later as I'm sitting on about $4 at that table when I pick up a hand at one of the other tables:
[Ah][Qh] in CO at a 7 handed table.
UTG and MP each limp. I raise to $.80 and UTG calls while MP folds.
UTG has $20.45 behind.
I have $24
Flop [8h][Qc][8c] Pot - $2.10
Great flop. UTG bets $1, I raise to $3 and he re-raises to $7.
I know I'm ahead here. If he had KK or AA he would have re-raised pre-flop. If he had Queens he wouldn't have limped in. If he has quads or something like a suited 8 then he's probably getting my stack here. I normally don't play TPTK so hard, but like I said, I really think I'm way ahead here, but I hit the wrong button and accidentally min-re-raised to $11 instead of just calling. He called.
Turn [6c] Pot - $24.10
Not scared of this card at all. He pushes for $9.45 and I call.
River is [3h] and he turns over [Qs][Jc].
I rake in a pot for $42.70, a profit of $21.45.

So much for being humbled. Shortly later I caught fire on another table as I was still struggling to survive on the table I had the set of Aces cracked on.

I am on the Button w/ [Kc][Kd] in a 9 handed game w/ $33.35. I've been playing very tight so far (VP$IP about 20).
UTG poster min-raises to $.40. MP1 and MP2 both call. I re-raise to $1.60 and UTG pushes for a total of $20 once it gets back to him. MP1 & 2 both fold and I type into the box "If you have Aces, you've got me." as I call.
Pot is $41.10 and the board comes [7s][Ks][6s]
I'm thinking I just sucked out.
Turn [4s]
I'm thinking he just re-sucked.
River [3h]
He shows [Ah][2d] - HOLY SHIT!!!
I rake a pot of $40.80 after rake for a $20.80 profit. What an IDIOT!!! I don't understand why he showed that crap either when he had the option of mucking. Guy sat in for one hand, posted UTG, and lost his stack. I woulda broke something if he had the [As]

It doesn't end there though because the very next hand on that table, I pick up [Ac][Qc] on the CO as we're now 8 handed.
UTG limps, MP2 min-raises to $.40, I call, Button calls, and UTG calls.
Flop [Kc][8s][6c] Pot - $1.90
UTG has $10.45
MP2 has $3.50
I have $53.75
Button has $24.90
UTG checks, MP2 pushes for $3.50.
I have the nut flush draw + and overcard so I'm thinking I have more than 9 outs so I call the overbet. Button folds, but UTG calls as well.
Turn [5d] Pot - $12.40
Check, check.
River [5c] Pot still $12.40
UTG pushes for $6.95. THANK YOU! I call.
UTG shows [9c][8c] for the flush
MP2 shows [Kd][8d] for 2 pair and types "Fuckin chasers" which gets him a warning from the chat manager. Hehe.
I rake in a pot worth $26 for a $15.15 profit. ON FIRE!

Now this one I feel pretty bad about. I have a tremendous stack on this table now and a double stack on my other table. I'm pretty much being a bully and picking up a bunch of small pots for the next 10 minutes. The 3rd table has since broken and I left with $3.95.

We are now 6 handed and I open-raise to $.80 w/ [Jh][Js]. I have $67.20 behind. It's folded to the BB who I've pretty much been bullying for the past orbit or 2. He pushes $12.70 total. I figure I must look like a bully and he's making a move so I call.
Board comes [8s][Jc][Kh][5c][3c] Pot - $25.20 after rake.
BB shows [As][Ad]. OUCH!!!

The table pretty much split up after that ugly one as I was sitting there with an $80 stack. I single tabled for about 15 minutes and then quit.

But All The Cool Kids Are Doing It
I've been messing around with the $1.5K $5 buy-in late nite at AP the past couple of weeks with miserable result. I guess I can't be hot everywhere, but as hot as I've been on the Prima NL tables, I've been ice cold card dead here and I can't even attempt to make a move.

Anyway, I've noticed a trend lately and I even counted tonight. There were 5 times that I saw 2+ limpers come back to the blinds and 4 of those times either the SB or BB made a huge raise, most times a tremendous over-bet all-in. I don't know what the hell they are watching, but it is no move at the $5 MTT's unless you have a hand. Let me tell you how that move always works out. You push in the BB, guy in MP calls. You show A6o or KJo and he shows 44. I'm the only asshole that's gonna fold there so it's a retarded move at this level.

Back to just how cold I've been running at the MTT's lately.

Challenging the Laws Of Gambling
Many times we are running so cold that we feel like we can't win a damn thing. Much less often we feel like we are so hot that we can't lose. I'm on one of those less common streaks right now and today for the 1st time I noticed the Blackjack button under the chip tray on the Prima software. I'm sure it's always been there, I've just only noticed it for the first time tonight. For about 2 seconds I wondered what would happen if I threw my entire roll on 1 hand of blackjack. (Of course I know what would happen - 88 and dealer shows a 10.) I'd never do that, but it's pretty amazing that this thought even popped into my mind.

I also received an e-mail from VIP casino saying that they've credited $10 to my account and I just had to make one wager for any size on anything and I could cash out. Normally I would wager $1 on a low risk bet and cash out. Now I'm probably thinking of going to the roulette table and trying to double or triple my money in one shot. Now VIP hasn't actually credited my account yet with the $10 they promised, but this is my intention when they do credit it. Ok, $10, big freakin deal right? Yeah, but that's where it starts. Note to self: DON'T start getting careless with your bankroll just because your running great right now!

I am still running absolutely sick at the $20NL Prima games. My sets are now turning into quads and I ran a pretty cool bluff against an over-aggressive player because he was pissing me off at another table. All posted in the low content/good beat section. 5 of 22 pocket pairs have turned into sets or better in the past 2 days. That's now 22 of 88 over 1,962 hands or exactly 25%!!!

I've been trying out over-betting big hands on the river the past few days trying to make it look like a draw and a miss/steal on the end. Hasn't really been working well. I got paid once when I flopped the nut flush (yeah in addition to the sets and quads. kinda sick, huh?), but I think the other player flopped a smaller flush so I would have gotten paid anyway.

Played in Event 1 of the new season of the Bluff Poker Tour last night on VIP Poker, another Prima site. I hate their tournament structure as I was forced to play faster than I wanted and I went out with 66 on the button vs QT in the CO. He open-limped, I raised, he called (I probably should have pushed). 55Q on the flop and bet out. I called and when another Q hit on the turn I thought I had the best hand so I pushed when he checked. Oh well.

I sometimes think the game is rigged when I am running so bad that it just can't be possible. Well, this is the best I have ever run in my short poker life right now and for the first time ever, I actually think the deck might be rigged in my favor. Why? I don't know. Because I deserve it finally?

I attempted to write a lengthy update here last night, but just as I was finishing, the power went out and I lost everything. Such has been my week. I am in the middle of such a horrifying run. I've lost back nearly everything I've won in the past few weeks.
The maniacs, calling stations, and min-raisers have shown up and they are CRUSHING ME. I'll admit, I have no idea how to handle the min-raisers. It could be ATo in the BB into 5 limpers, it can be KJo from EP, it can be J9s OTB, or the 2 times I re-raised it happened to be Aces. I can't put anybody on a hand when they pre-flop min-raise and it has occured in at least 50% of the hands I've played this week. Here's another one...PFR, min-bet flop, call any amount when raised, push turn. WTF?? It's taken away a large part of my game. I can't be aggressive, I can't use position. They are going to call anything. When an 80% VP$IP/50% WTSD is in the pot, like he usually is, I can't raise in CO because he's gonna call me down. I'm gonna start at the beginning and see if I can figure out what the hell happened this week no matter how long it takes because I'm semi-stunned right now. AND F PT FOR MISSING SOME CRUCIAL HANDS!

Session 1 - Mon 9/25 - 227 Hands (-$10.73)
Table 1 - (-$23)
Table 2 - +$16.37
Table 3 - (-$4.10)
Crucial hands:

Table 1 -
[Ad][Jd] UTG+1 I call an $.80 (4x) PFR from UTG($17.65 behind).
2 way flop, I have $18.30 left. [8s][As][6c]. He bets pot ($1.50) and I min-raise to see where I'm at. He just calls.
Turn [Jc] (P-$7.90) giving me top 2 pair. He checks, I bet $5, he calls.
River [4s] (P-$17.90) He bets $3 and I have to call. He shows [Ks][Qs] for the flush.
I see no error there, in fact I think I played it perfectly. (-$11.80)

I blew off the rest of the stack when short stacked I flopped an over-pair w/ 77 in LP on a 345 board. MP player bet small and I pushed the remainder of my stack figuring I had 4-6's and 2 7's as outs if I was behind. Unfortunately he called with 67 for the ready made straight and I only had 3 outs for the tie which I missed.

Table 2 -
I raised pocket 9's in LP and had some EP dork flop TP w/ Q9o (meaning I hit top set) and call off $14.45 to me. +$15.15

Here's a beauty. I'm BB w/ [Th][9d]. Here comes a Min-PFR from a 58/15. I'm calling any Min-PFR from the BB.
3 way flop - [Js][Qs][5h] (P-$1.30) Checked to idiot who bets $.80 ($21.22 behind), I call, and UTG limper folds.
Turn [Kd] (P-$2.90) Rather the 8, but I'm not too afraid of ATo because he's a bit of a maniac. I C/R another $.80 bet to $2.40. He calls.
River [Ts] ($7.70) and I check and stupidly call his $3 bet knowing I was counterfeited which seemed to happen in every big hand this week. He actually had AQ.

Table 3 - No big hands

Session 2 - Mon 9/25 - 91 Hands (-$4.75)
Just 1 table here.
Crucial hands:
Table 1 - I was flush over flushed when my [8d][5d] lost to [Ad][9d] on a [2d][5s][3d] flop. Thanfully he was short stacked and I only lost (-$3.50)

Session 3 - Tue 9/26 - 338 Hands (-$26.70)
Table 1 - (-$2.40)
Table 2 - +$.45
Table 3 - (-$20)
Crucial hands:

Table 1 - No big hands

Table 2 - I won $3.40 w/ a Q-high straight from idiot who called down w/ Q3o.

Table 3 - I fought back against a habitual blind stealer w/ [Kc][6c]. He refused to fold and ended up taking $8.60 from me when the board ended [6d][Tc][Jd][8h][9d] and I had to give up on river. I picked the wrong time to take a stand.
Blew off the last $16.60 of my stack w/ [3s][3c] vs same player. I flopped OESD and he just happened to have Aces this time. Unfortunately I hit the straight on the turn and he hit quads on the river. SICK!!!

Session 3 - Tue 9/26 - 285 Hands +$1.10
Table 1 - +$1.30
Table 2 - (-$.20)

Crucial hands:
Table 1 - No big hands

Table 2 -
Flopped a set w/ 66 and took $3.60 fromK7o who flopped OESD and hit K on turn.

VERY PAINFUL HAND POSTED IN BAD BEAT SECTION - I PFR $.80 w/ pocket 10's. 1 caller and semi-maniac 26/18/39 WTSD (85 hands) re-popped to $2.70. I re-raised to $14.10 to put him all-in. He called.
I flopped top set. He hit Q and then J and I lose $15.15
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=2099801

Kc Ad 16 1.62 974 98.38 0 0.00 0.016

I went on tilt and check-pushed less than 1/2 stack w/ an OESD and hit on the turn. This was against a pretty good player who I just always seem to end up having position on and strangely enough, even though he is the winningest player I have in my DB, I've also profited more from him than any other player. I won $11 on the hand.

Session 4 - Wed 9/27 - 594 hands - (-$69.86) PT Incorrect here.
Table 1 - (-$24.13)
Table 2 - (-$2.50)
Table 3 - (-$36.61) - This # is in-correct because PT missed a $10 win.
Table 4 - +$2.18
Table 5 - (-$8.80)

Crucial hands
Table 1 -
I limp [Kh][Kc] UTG+1, SB 41/10/47 WTSD raises to $1 ($23.21 behind), I re-raise to $3.40 and have him covered. He calls.
Flop [9d][8d][7h] (P-$6.90) He bets $4.80 and I push because I can't see anything he would PFR in the BB into 3 opponents except maybe 9's. He insta-calls.
Turn [Ah] River [Js] and he shows [As][Ts] SICK SICK SICK!!
I lose $24.21. I was actually thinking of making it more pre-flop but I thought it may be a mistake to let him off easily. I screwed myself.

Table 2 -
Some buffoon called down my pocket 9's w/ 96o on 44T46 board. I only took $3.80 off him because I checked the river behind. He was brand
(1st hand) new and I had no read.

Table 3 -
Semi-bluff gone bad. [7d][5d] I call a PFR from tight player I think I can push away w/ position. I flop flush draw K-high flop. He bets pot, I raise him a decent amount. He takes a long time and pushes and I had to call because I was now getting 3 to 1. His TPTK AK wins. My bad. Minus $18.40

Another GREAT one. I limp [Ts][8s] UTG+1 full stacked. 1 other limper and both blinds to flop.
[Th][8d][5s] (P-$.80) SB (82/13/61 WTSD - half stacked shit-head) min-bets, BB folds, I raise to $.95 (full pot cause I know he's an idiot) and he calls.
Turn [3d] (P-$2.70) SB checks, I bet $2.55 and he insta-calls.
River [Kd] ($7.80) SB shit head bets $.60 and I call. He has the backdoor flush. I drop only $4.30 thankfully.

REVENGE - Shithead had pulled a few out on other players as well and is now big stacked.
[7s][6s] UTG 7 handed w/ $15.95, I open limp. Shit head is SB again. 3 to flop.
[5h][3s][Ad] (P-$.60) BB min-bets, we both call.
[8h] (P-$1.20) Now I'm open-ended. BB bets $.80, I call, shit head now Min-C/R to $1.60, BB folds, and I call.
[9d] (P-$5.20) Shit head checks and I bet $4. Shit head thinks for a while and I think "SHIT! I have the nuts and this will be the one time he actually folds!", but then shit head decides to Min-C/R the NUTS to $8. I push. Shit head calls and mucks. GOTCHA! +$16.85

Shit head left broke shortly after, but then another shit head arrived.
I PFR $.80 w/ [As][Ah] vs 1 EP limper. He calls because that's what he does too.
Flop [4s][Jh][Ts] (P-$1.90) He checks and I bet pot because I want to make him pay for his draw. I know it's a draw. He insta-calls because that's what he does.
Turn [8d] (P-$5.50) I bet pot because I don't think that's his draw. He C/R all-in and I don't really believe him, so I call getting 2 to 1. Sure enough, the idiot called a raise w/ Q9 and I lose $21.16 w/ pocket Aces. The sick thing was that if a spade, K, or 9 fell and he did that I may actually have thought of dumping it.

Table 4 - Short handed I raise Aces again. This time in BB to $1 and CO calls. He flops 2 pair with his K9o and I lose $5.40. K9 and Q9. Precious.

This is GREAT. MP Min-PFR's. I call in LP w/ [As][5s] and flop the nut flush draw on K-high flop 6 handed. MP min-bets, PFRer raises to $1.60 (only $6 behind) and I push for $9.98. MP min-better calls his last $3.05 and PFRer calls as well. I hit my flush on the turn. Min-bettor shows [Qd][Td] WTF???
Min-PFR shows [Ac][Kd] and then remarks, "Amazing! Can't get Ace garbage out no matter how much your raise." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA +$12.35

Table 5 -
I PFR QQ from MP and get called by SB. He flops a straight w/ Q8s and I feel lucky to lose only $5. These assholes will call raises with anything!

Session 5 - Fri 9/29 - 352 Hands - (-$15.88)
Table 1 - (-$1.80)
Table 2 - (-$5.63)
Table 3 - (-$8.45)

Crucial hands
Table 1 - No big hands

Table 2 -
UTG half stack raises to $1.20. I'm UTG+1 and min-re-raise to $2.40 w/ Aces again. Flop is 63J different suits and he instantly pushes for $6.97. He has pocket 8's and I collect $9.17

Kinda screwed myself here with my aggressiveness. I limp [Js][Ts]. Aggressive Button player who can usually lay down when played back at, raises to $1.20. I call because he has a full stack.
Flop [7s][3h][6s] (P-$4.10)
I check, he bets $3, I C/R to $9. He takes up almost all of his time and I REALLY think he is going to fold, but then he calls.
Turn [3c] ($22.10) It gets checked by both of us.
River [Ks] I check, he bets his last $10. Of course I gotta call with $32 in the pot and he shows pocket Kings for boat over flush. Minus $20.20 And I really think I almost picked this one up on the flop.

Table 3 -
CO, a fairly aggressive player, open-raises to $1.10 I call in the BB w/ [Ts][9s]
Flop [5s][Ks][4s] (P-$2.30)
I check, he bets $2, I call.
Turn [2c] (P-$6.30) check, check
River [Jh] Well, I know I can't win this in showdown and CO showed weakness by checking the turn so I think maybe it was a steal attempt and I can steal this on the river. I bluff $4 which is insta called by pocket Queens. Minus $7.10

Final Session Early this morning - 252 Hands - (-$12.45)
Table 1 - (-$20)
Table 2 - +$25.60
Table 3 - (-$18.05)

Crucial Hands -
Table 1 - [Qc][Jh] in the BB and SUPRISE, SURPRISE there is a Min-PFR from MP. The whole table is calling, so am I.
Flop [9c][Tc][Qd] (P-$2.10) TP w/ OESD and BDFD. Seems like a good flop. Checked to PFR who repeats his PF bet. I'm planning on C/Ring until next player bets $1.60. SHIT! I call, but PFRer min-re-raises to $2.80. This is getting all fucked up now. We both call.
Turn [8s] (P-$10.50) There's my straight, but this F'in pot has gotten out of hand. I bet $4.80 and PFRer calls. Did this shit head Min-PFR KJ???
River [9s] (P-$20.10) Of course the paired board again. I check and PFRer bets 1/3 pot ($7). SHIT! That was the magic number. Apparently the paired board didn't scare him and he did infact Min-PFR KJ.

I blow off the remainder of my stack when I PFR pocket Jacks short-handed. SB calls. Flop comes 286 (P-$1.80) I bet pot on the flop, SB calls.
Turn [8h] (P-$5.20) I only have $4.20 left so I throw it in and SB turns over???????..........why A8o of course.

Table 2 -
I really got lucky here. I had idiots blowing off chunks of their stack, check-raising middle pair vs my TPTK and not hitting their kicker, a genius who Min-PFRed J9s and hit 2 pair against my straight, and an idiot on the button who re-raised my CO raise w/ AQo. I flopped TPTK. He pushed his short stack, I called. Idiot had J7s. Amazingly he missed his kicker as well. Thank God for this table.

Table 3 -
JTs and I flop an OESD + FD (15 outs). I bet pot on flop. Shortie moves AI for $3.50. Easy call. I miss and he takes it with KT top pair of Kings.

This is kinda sick. I raise w/ pocket 10's and flop is all under-cards. Player in front of me min-bets into the pot (another idiot), I raise to $2.40 (2/3 pot), but player directly to my left, pushes me all-in. I'm pretty sure this is a draw with 2 spades on board and I'm ready to call him because he's been too aggressive, but then the min-better calls the all-in for 1/2 stack and I figure both of these guys can't be on draws so I reluctantly fold.
Board ends up [2s][4c][7s][6h][5h].
that called shows Q2o. NOT EVEN A DRAW!!!!!
And of course player to my left showed the missed flush draw, but he actually hit a runner-runner straight w/ [Ks][4s].

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
Two hands later I'm in BB w/ [9s][9c]. Player to my left is in the pot again, MP raise to $.60 and we both call.
Flop [4s][7d][6s] (P-$2) I check, player to my left bets $2 into PFRer who folds. I'm not letting him pull this crap again so I C/R to $6. He calls.
Turn [6d] (P-$14) I have $5.60 left so I push. He insta calls and turns over [As][6c].
HOLY MOTHER F***ER!!!!!

I wasn't going to sleep tonight anyway with all the shit that went on today (ASSHOLE FRIST) + I'm an isomniac so this was pretty good therapy going over the hands from the last 5 days again. May just stay up straight through college football today. take a day off from poker (even though time may be running out) and get a good night sleep tomorrow night.

F-U FRIST
I really want to rant on Frist and the Republicans here, but I'm so disgusted with these two faced bastards that I can't even compose my thoughts. Preaches on family values and ethics and then sneaks his bill in the back door and jeopardizes a national safety issue for his own agenda. SCUM-BAG! A man we should all look up to and be proud of. Take out all the mass transit safety language, but make sure nobody can play poker on the internet. I was happy at least, and it was the least and too late, that my Senator from NJ, Dem Lauttenburg was disgusted with his actions as well, even mentioning Texas Hold'em sarcastically. He will get my vote when he is up again. And what exactly does he think he is accomplishing? The religious lunatics that were going to vote for him, were going to vote for him anyway probably. Now, he's just pissed off milliions of people who really didn't give a shit about him in the 1st place. Nice job. Maybe after I can't play anymore, I'll spend those unfilled hours calling Frist's office every day and asking why he would risk the lives of millions of Americans with this bill in order to force his ideals on everyone else. And then I'll call him the next day and the day after that and the day after that and so on because I'm so stupid that I forgot the answer. After all, that is why he had to get this pushed through in the 1st place right? To protect us stupid people who don't know what's best for us. Maybe we should all make these calls every day.

I went back for more punishment late last night and did some stupid things, but at AP those stupid things pay off so by chasing a 6 outter on the river I almost doubled up and was having a really nice session acting like an idiot. Well it really wasn't that bad, but it was kinda stupid and AP rewards stupidy so why not? I open-raised $1 (4x) from CO, the Button re-raised to $5. It came back around to me and I figured
a)She probably would have re-raised less if she had Aces. This smells like Jacks, Tens, or a steal. I really didn't think she had a re-steal in her though, but I figured I had to call $4 with $6 in the pot holding 2 overcards.
b)If she actually has Aces, I'll suck out because it's AP.
So I call and the flop comes 89T. I check and she bets $2 into a $10 pot. Easy call with the intent of trying to steal on the turn. Now I think she either has AK like me or she was terrified of that flop with an overpair. Turn is a 2 and I bet $8. She takes a long time and calls. Now I don't know what the hell she has. River is a K and it gets checked. She shows Jacks and throws a fit, calling me an idiot. Yeah, probably, but that's how you win on AP.

I was actually up $50 at one point, but an ill-advised river bluff on a scary board couldn't get an idiot to lay down TPGK on a very scary board with both a flush and straight on it. Then I lost yet again with pocket Kings to A7s when he called down with middle pair and backed into a runner-runner straight. What a site! I ended up winning back $20 and cleared $10 of the bonus.

Set myself a goal of winning back the entire $85 I blew off last night and another $100 by the end of the week. Last night brought me down to -$65. Decided to play ultra tight today and it actually worked. I was hanging around break even for almost 2 hours. The only decent hand I had was pocket Jacks behind a player who had been PFRing a lot. I just called his PFR and raised his $1.50 flop bet to $4.50 with 3 undercards on the board. He called and then immediately bet half the pot when an Ace fell on the turn. Love AP! Then I ended up set over setting a medium stack to go up for the session. Picked up QQ very next hand. A rock PFR'ed, I called behind and the Button called. Ace on the flop, PFRer checked, I checked, Button bet, PFRer called and I mucked. PFRer ended up having a set of Aces. So I didn't donk off my chips with JJ or QQ and luckily didn't catch Aces or Kings. Picked up another $20. Two small winning sessions in a row. -$45.

Played in a free $100K Qualifier tonight and lasted all of 5 hands.
Hand 1 - Fold
Hand 2 - AKo UTG. Raise to 80. Two callers and BB re-raises to 300. I reluctantly fold and both callers call the 300. Flop comes [6c][Js][7c] and the SB immediately goes all-in. Hand 3 - Fold. BB from last hand now puts in a raise from SB.
Hand 4 - Fold
Hand 5 - AKo now on the Button. 1 limper and then same guy raises to 100 in CO. That's 3 raises from him in 5 hands so I push behind him. He calls and turns over [Ac][Kc]. Flop is [Th][Jh][3c]. Can you see what's coming? This is AP after all. Turn is [Qc] giving us both a straight and I figure I'm being un-naturally worried. I can't suffer a runner-runner beat on every single big hand. Yet the river fills his flush and he trash talks me on the way out. Wonderful.

I think I'm mucking everything except pocket 6's preflop for the immediate future. That happens to be my favorite hand and it is also the hand I set over setted someone with today. Everything else is just a disaster waiting to happen. And that damn rabbit cam feature is another thing. Everytime I fold it shows me that my card was coming up next. On the rare occasion I bet enough to make someone else fold, the next card is ALWAYS an Ace or flush filler. It's sick. I flop top set and I'm terrified and over-bet if there is any kind of draw on the board. And sure enough the rabbit shows me I'm usually right.

Getting Your Money In When Behind

Luckily I was able to get my money in way behind today so I actually ended up +$6.80 today to make up for the times I put my money in way ahead. That brings the number down to -$38.80. All opponent stats are VP$IP/PFR/WTSD/Hands

Genius in SB min-PFRed 10's. I had AQ in the BB. He flopped a set on [9d][Kd][Tc] board, but bet the same amount again. He check/called a Q on the turn and then check/called a J on the river. Idiot coulda pushed me out on the flop or the turn or at least made me pay. Doesn't he know that the best hand never wins on this site?

A very weak player (2 PFR/500+) Hands open raise to 75 cents. I call with [Th][9h]. He has $6.20 left. I flop OESD + 2 OC's. Pretty good chance he has an over-pair here when he c-bets $2.50. I put him all-in for another $3.25 because I want to make sure I get the money in there as a dog again. I wasn't as bad off as I thought so I was afraid I might lose as he shows [Ac][Kc]. I hit the straight on the turn.

Holy Crap! I Finally Won With Kings
I opened for $1 2 off the button and both blinds called. Flop came 886 and I bet $2 which was called. Figured I was dead again and refused to donk off any more chips with Kings or Aces. Q checked on Turn, J checked to me on River. Actually thought I was still ahead with his river check so I bet about 1/3rd pot and got called by pocket 5's. How the hell did that happen?

Picked up Aces in the SB shortly after and raised enough to get all the limpers to fold. Yup, this is how I play big pairs on AP now. Picked up Aces in the blinds again later and did the saem thing. Scary that I believe it's the only way to win with them on this site.

Saw AA get cracked by AJ, J on flop and river and KK get cracked by J7s, J on flop and river.

Don't Bet You Idiot!
I still haven't learned my lesson with hands like AQ/AK/99 here. You raise, you get called by a dominated hand, you lose. And most importantly, don't bluff with suited connectors.

Raise AQo to $1 after 1 limper who only had $7.55 left. Get 3 callers in all. Flop comes [4s][As][Jh]. I bet $3 into $4.25 pot and shortie c/r all-in. Only $3.80 more so I have to call. He shows [Ah][4h].

I blew off another decent chunk when I open-raised [9d][8d]. I was called and bluffed a pot sized bet into a QQ6 flop even though I knew he wasn't gonna fold. It got checked down and his A3o was good. Again, WTF is wrong with me? Don't bluff you idiot!

I raised to $1.75 in the BB w/ AKo after 4 limpers. 2 called. One with $20 UTG and $40 OTB. Flop 7Q2 different suits. I stupidly c-bet again 2/3 pot and get called UTG. It gets checked down and he holds the dominated KQo.

It's Fun Watching Maniacs Go At It
This is just stuff that makes you go "Wow!" I can't explain it, other than these are the people I lose money to.
65/4/33/52 limps ($18.52), 48/14/22/21 limps behinds ($4.20), BB 75/19/25/36 raises to $1.25 and both call. Flop is 2K7 different suits. Check, check, 2nd limper pushes for $3.20, BB folds, 1st limper calls.
Pusher shows [7d][3d] and hits an unneccesary runner-runner diamond flush.
Caller shows [Tc][4c] for no pair, no draw, no nothing!

Very next hand I PFR UTG with AQo again. Why? I don't know? 3 callers.
UTG+1 44/6/33/108 $24.75
UTG+2 65/4/33/52 $14.32
SB 75/19/25/36 $15.45
Flop 732 different suits. I may have been dump enough to raise, but I'm not dumb enough to bet this flop. Checked to UTG+2 who pushes for $13.32. BB immediately calls. UTG+2 shows QJo for nothing a 2nd consecutive time. BB shows 97s for TPNK.
WOW! WTF???

UTG+1 limps, MP1 limps, MP2 min-raises, 6 people see a flop of [6d][8h][9d]. SB bets $1.50, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 all-in for $9.65, MP2 pushes for $13.15, SB calls the all-in.
SB shows [Ts][9s] for TP and GSSD, UTG+2 actually has a set of 9's, MP2 (the min-pfrer) shows [Kd][Td]. Set holds up and wins a huge pot. Think I may have dropped the T9 there maybe.

UTG open pushes $5.50 w/ 25 cent blinds. CO calls, BB re-pushes for $13, CO calls for $10.30 total. Pot is $26.20
UTG has [9h][9c]
CO has [Qh][Qs]
BB has [As][Kc]
[6s][7s][3c] Flop. Queens still good.
[9s] Turn. Ouch, but now [As] has the runner-runner flush draw.
[Qc] River.
Only on AP!

Absolute Poker continues to make me Absolutely want to puke. Yet I'm too stubborn to give up $105 in pending bonuses and withdraw. Two big hands tonight.....

Pos - VP$IP/PFR/WTSD/Hands - Stack before acting
MP1 - 18/4/37/184 - $18.45
SB - 51/4/40/109 - $27.75

MP1 opens for a 50 cent min-pfr. I call OTB w/ [Th][8h]. I have them both covered. SB calls as well.
Flop [7c][9s][Jc] Pot - $1.75
SB checks, MP1 bets $1, I raise to $3 and BOTH call.
Staying consistant, AP now throws down the last card in the deck that I want to see on the turn as only AP can.
Turn [Tc] Pot - $10.75
It gets checked to me and I check as well. I'm now only playing 1 card on the bottom end of a straight with a flush on board.
River [2d] Pot - $10.75
SB bets $3, MP1 raises to $8 and I'm forced to fold.
SB shows [Jd][7d] for 2 pair and MP1 shows [Js][Jh] for a set. Yup, I threw away the best hand. AP now has me screwing myself.

Folded to SB who has just sat down, but has played every hand since he's been here. He min-raises to 50 cents and I have 65o in the BB. I call.
Flop 356 different suits. Pot - $1
He over bets $2.25 and I'm pretty sure I'm FINALLY going to win a big one. I raise to $7 and he pushes for $17.25 total, I call.
He shows [Ad][4d] for the OESD and nails it right away with the [7d] on the turn.

I must have been an idiot to think I could win a big hand when I get it in ahead. AP - either fold cheaply or be outdrawn expensively. Sickening. Managed to crawl my way back and lose only $5.20 for the late session. The goal now stands at -$44 to get back to even this week.

Actually make that -$49. I forgot about the MTT last night. One limper, I raised OTB with JJ. BB, aggressive player and table big stack, re-raises. I decided to go with it and he actually had Aces this time. Surprisingly they held up too.

I'm really turning into a wuss. I avoid bluffing at all costs for the most part. My VP$IP has dropped closer to 20% as well from somewhere closer to 25%. I think some of the better players are starting to pick up on that as well because I'm getting raised and c/r from all over the place. Not that they are faring any better. I'll fold, but nobody else will. I saw a guy fire 3 bullets at a pot today and get called down. The aggressor turned over pocket 2's. The caller had A7o and hit a 7 on the river. He also had a gutshot straight draw. Guy with the 2's flipped out. Anyway, I know I need to make a stand at some point, but would rather do it while I'm winning.

I got pretty lucky early on hitting a gut shut straight flush on the turn which put me up 50BB. Card dead for about 150 hands afterwards. I saw my VP$IP drop to 13% at one table with a 2% PFR so I decided to make a CO move with A4s. UTG limper and I raised to $1. SB, BB, and limper all call, but I flop the nut flush draw. SB bets $1 and I've already decided that I'm making a big bet here. I have all 3 covered, but UTG is the only one with more than $15 in his stack. So, as I said, SB bets $1 into everyone, BB calls, then UTG pushes. So much for my big move. UTG showed bottom set when everyone else folded.

I was never really down in the session, but was just about even and ready to leave when I flush over flushed another player. I thought I was being pretty slick over-betting the pot on the river trying to make it look like a bluff. He would have called anyway having a 10 high flush himself. Funny thing was afterwards he writes in chat "Note: Likes to bet flush draws" A lot of people have been doing that lately. Mistakingly putting their notes in the chat box. I did it once myself, but caught myself before I hit enter. Whenever your jotting down notes, if it is your turn to act, the table pops up at AP and whatever you are writing now goes in the chat box instead of the notes section. Anyway, I made a note to myself that he has a note that I like to be my flush draws.

+$8.75 for the session and I cleared another $10 of the bonus as well. Now down to -$42.25. Not as far as I wanted to be, but at least a move in the right direction.

I completely agree with you. I hate the way I've been playing the past couple of days. I've been trying to play small ball and pot control when way ahead way too much lately. I gotta snap out of it.

That T8 hand was just messed up. I can't put a minPFRer on JJ for top set and then when the SB calls I gotta put him on some kind of draw. That [Tc] was just a horrible card for me. Completes the flush, gives KQ a better straight (and some of these players will call bets with KQ). When they are both still going at it on the turn I gotta believe that at least one of them has the flush and the SB still has to act behind me.

Found My Balls, Lost My Pants!
Allstar was right. I knew he was and I even said so. Tonight I went back to hard nose aggressive poker. And it was a disaster. Same shit, different night. It took me about 250 hands of break even poker to catch a big pair. And when I did, I lost a nice chunk again. I'm not even mad. I'm just pretty numb and in denial. I'd love to come on here and start writing some positive stuff, but in order for me to do that, those things have to actually happen first.

Anyway, onto the session, a rather long one (3 hours - 2 tables - 289 hands). Actually started off just a single table for the first half hour, OH OK WAIT, HERE IS SOMETHING POSITIVE! I was only playing 1 table for the 1st half hour because my attention was focused on the baseball game and THE METS WON! Yup, that's as positive as it's gonna get here tonight. The rest is pretty ugly, AGAIN! Sorry for that, but it is what it is. If you wanna see the really graphic stuff, skip to the bottom.

As usual, all opponent stats are VP$IP/PFR/WTSD/Hands
MPFR = Min PreFlop Raise
OMPFR = Open MPFR

Thought it was gonna be a good session when I flopped a set very early on and then turned a boat with both a straight draw and flush draw on board, but nobody wanted to play. Call down with pocket 2's, fold when I hit a set.

It was actually kinda wierd, since I hit that set in the BB and was card dead for a while, I actually still had a VP$IP of 0% until 24 hands in. So wouldn't you think someone who was paying attention might fold when someone with a VP$IP of 0% check raises you?
Nope, they push. So much for aggression. Guy min-raises, bets 1/2 pot on a 537 flop and then pushes the rock who check-raises him. I folded. Only an OESD, but with no prior history, how the hell could he know that? He probably had something like KQo too.

Here comes the aggression. Pocket Jacks OTB and lately I've just been calling raises here, but let's apply some pressure tonight. I re-raise to $3 (PFR was $1 from a tight aggressive player opening from MP). I cringed thinking he was gonna push and I'd have to fold because this is how AP has conditioned me, but he just called. Flop was 3 undercards and he check/folded a 2/3 pot bet. This is gonna be a good night.

Stupid Hand#1
You know how AA never wins at AP unless it's up against KK, right? Well this idiot deserved to get stacked. MP2, new player, OMPFR. MP3 and BB call. Flop 2JJ, BB checks, MP2 bets pot, MP3 folds, and BB min-c/r to $3. MP2 pushes for $11.90 total and BB calls. MP2 shows Aces and BB has KJ. Way to go with the MPFR! I LOVE it when the min-raise loses a big pot!

Flop of [3d][Ts][8d] in an un-raised pot and I have [7d][6d] in position. Figure it's time to get aggressive again. BB bets 1/2 pot and EP player calls. Both have fold buttons so I'm thinking this is a good move. I bet $2.50 into the $2 pot when it gets to me and only BB calls. Turn is [Qs] and BB checks. I decide to fire again and see if I can get him to fold. I still have at least 9 outs (maybe more) if he calls. I fire 2/3 pot ($4) and he calls again. River is [4s] and he leads out for $4.25 (fraction of the pot) and there is no way I'm calling, but I just can't believe he called me on a back door spade draw. I take my time folding hoping that he'll show and he shows [Qc][Tc]. Even though I was behind the whole way I feel like I got sucked out on that turn. I really think he woulda folded, but AP wouldn't let him.

Same table, now I decide to raise in CO w/ [6c][5c] and Button calls. He smooth calls my flop c-bet, and takes it away on the turn. He seemed to pretty much be in every single pot I played from this point on. So I decided to scale back again, but still be aggressive when I had a hand.

Same guy keeps harrassing me and even showing a couple of bluffs. He's pretty proud of himself. I limp into a pot w/ [Ad][9d] and when I flop an Ace and he raises my flop bet again, I decide to take him on. I call him down, but this time he shows [Qd][3d] for 2 pair on the flop. Why the hell can't I hit a flush against this guy? I'm supposed to hurt him here, but he keeps getting the better of me.

The Biggest Maniac and the Crazy Call
Player enters the game across the table from me. His actions on his 1st 5 hands go as follows.....
1 - Posts dead, PFR to $2.25 after 2 limpers. Everyone folds
2 - PFR to $1, raise to $4 when SB bets $1.50 into him on [5h][4d][7h] flop. SB (me w/ [Ad][5d] folds).
3 - Open limp, SB raise to $2, he re-raises to $4.25. Button pushes a short stack for $6.25, SB (my nemesis) re-raises all-in and he folds. Incidentally SB had AA here. Shortie had [7h][5h] and flopped an OESD that didn't finish. It's never easy with AA.
4 - Open PFR to $1. Both check 886 flop and he fires $3 on the turn and takes it.
5 - Open PFR to $1.50 and everyone folds.

Is it too early to establish a pattern or do we think this guy is a maniac after 5 hands? Combine this with the way the player to my immediate left has been bitch slapping me and you can probably see what's coming in the next hand.....
Hand #6 for maniac - I'm down about 80bb on this table. He open PFR for the 6th straight hand. This time to $1. I have [Ac][Th] and position on him. 99% of the time I fold this hand to a PFR fearing domination, but this time I call because of who the raiser is. Heads up to a 456 flop, 3 different suits. He checks, I go for 3/4 pot. He pushes all in immediately for $14.50. My mood and my current opinion that he was FULL OF SHIT led me to type in "Ok, I'll play" and call with A hi. He flips over [Ah][9c] and to make it interesting a 7 hits on the turn giving him a GSSD, but a Jack on the river gives me the pot. The table is aghast! How could I call him? They think I'm the lunatic and all of a sudden my friend to the left starts showing me some respect when I bet. He thinks I'll call him down with ATo too. Haha! I finally crawl back to even and stay there for a long time (about an hour actually).

Typical AP Hands#2,#3, and #4
Already seen Aces stacked once because the guy holding them was an idiot. This time 2 shorties get into a battle. Shortie 1 PFR $1.75 from BB. CO shortie calls him with only $4.35 behind. Flop Q83 and Shortie 2 is all-in on the flop with QTo. BB shows AA. Can you guess what the river was? Need I remind you that AA never wins, and it doesn't in this case either. Ten on the river.

Two players get it all in on a flop of 737. One shows K7o and the other 33. Turn and River are running 9's. Player with pocket 3's is shocked. I'm not. Had to happen.

2 limpers and I limp in CO w/ QTo. SB makes a $1.75 raise (7xBB) and the BB + both limpers call a pretty decent sized raise. I'm the only idiot who folds. Flop 379 w/ 2 hearts. SB pushes, but only has the size of the pot left. 2nd limper thinks for a while and calls w/ [Ah][6h]. He was actually getting the right odds, but missed his draw. Serves him right for calling a large PFR w/ A6s. So KK actually won a hand, but the wierd thing.....T on Turn, Q on River. If I had played like an idiot too I would have won the hand. C'mon, I had 2 overcards after all.

The Religious Freaks Have Hit the Poker Tables or A Chip and a Prayer
This is pretty sick. 4 players limp to a flop of TT8. BB, a very solid player, makes a pot sized bet on the flop, 2 limpers call. Turn is 2. BB makes a pot sized bet again, 1 limper calls. River is 4. BB bets 1/2 pot and limper pushes for $10 more and gets called. BB shows KTs and limper has 44. BB flips out and says no wonder your short stacked making calls like that and then types "2 outs and a prayer. Works everytime." (AP isn't biased about who they hand out bad beats too. Everybody gets them on a pretty consistant basis.) I could not believe the answer from the limper. "Yes, I had faith. Hang around and I'll show you what faith can do." The hell with chip and a chair, how about a chip and a prayer?

Satan's Revenge
Same two players from the previous hand a little later on....
UTG limp from the solid player. The prayer limps from CO. Flop A8J. Checked to he of faith who bets $1. Only UTG calls. 2 on the Turn. Checked to CO again who bets $2. UTG c/r to $6 and CO calls. River is 9 and UTG leads $9, quickly called by CO. Ready for this? UTG shows JJ, CO AQo. I guess God wasn't paying attention on that hand. The bigger question is WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY DOING LIMPING WITH THOSE HANDS?

I picked off a bluff from my friend to the left when I OPFR JJ in the SB. He called and called my pot sized c-bet as well when the flop came all clubs. Club on the turn made me check and he bet 2/3 pot ($4.50). I figured he thought I was stealing and instantly called him with the [Jc]. River was checked and he didn't even have a club. He cursed himself for the stupid bluff in the chat box.

Now after almost 2 hours I'm actually in the positive and then........

AGONY!!
I had gone almost 250 hands without AA/KK and was thinking that maybe I'd get out of the session without one of those hands, but CRAP - KK in CO. I open raise for $1 praying I can just steal the blinds. I've only seen KK win once tonight (and pretty much for the past few weeks) and even that was ugly. Button calls and SB re-raises to $4.25. I push for $39.10 and he actually waits a few seconds which makes me think he may have AK/QQ/JJ/TT, but then calls and shows the Aces.
1 - What the hell was he waiting for? That's a pretty shitty thing to do!
2 - I always seem to stack the short stacks, but whenever I lose a hand like this, the other player always has a large stack. I only had him covered by $2.60 here.
3 - Wouldn't you guess that he flopped a set on a [7h][8h][Ah] board, but guess who has the [Kh]. If you guessed me, you are correct and you would also know that there was no way that flush was completing. Agony the entire way.

The Comeback
Even after this I reloaded and a few hands later picked up [Ad][Kd] at the other table. I raised after a limper and my nemesis to the left is still calling every hand I raise. Actually 4 players call in total. I flop TPTK w/ the flush draw and I'm in no mood to screw around.
I bet $3.75 into the $5 pot and my friend calls as does the SB. Turn is [Ks] and here is where I blew this one. I figured the pot at $16.25 was big enough and I was so disgusted over getting stacked less than 5 minutes ago that I pushed them out of the pot by going all-in on the Turn, but I could just see the SB sitting there w/ [9s][Ts] getting ready to stack me when the 3rd spade hit on the river.

Same time at the other table I pick up Aces for the 1st time OTB. 1 limper and CO raises to $1. I re-raise to $5 and everyone folds. Maybe I should be happy, but I was really praying he had the Kings this time.

A few hands later I pick up Kings again in CO at the same table. 1 limper, I raise to $1, SB calls and BB re-raises to $2.50. Can't happen again I think, but not really. They both have less than $20 so I bet enough to put them both all-in when it gets back to me. BB who was fairly new to the table actually folds and tells me he had Queens. WTF!!! They push all-in with a lot less than that, but now they fold when I want them to call. How could he fold Queens there with under $10 left? Of course notice that had he called, yet again, I would be stacking a short stack. I commented that he woulda hit his Queen had he called. Two other players said they folded Queens, so I said who cares, then he woulda hit a straight.

Anyway the big news here is that I've recovered half of what I've lost and I'm only down about $17 now.

A Bolt Of Lightening Will Strike You Down
When the player made that comment about faith before, he must have been talking about this hand.
[Ah][Js] in the SB. I complete after 2 limpers. Flop [3c][As][Kh]. I bet $.75 into $1 pot and Mr. Faith calls in the BB. Turn [4c] and since nobody raises pre-flop, I'm pretty sure I'm ahead here and I'm not playing this hand like a wimp. I fire $1.50 on the turn and he calls again. River [7s] and I figure it's time to check. The pot is $5.50 and he fires all-in for $9.75. Looks like a missed draw to me so stupidly I call. He shows [7h][3h] and I'm a believer. AP: where miracles are answered. He's calling me down with bottom pair. Hand#467686872 because I know this is a difficult one to believe.

Wow! I really thought I was gonna break through by going back to being aggressive again, but I'm just in shock at what happens everytime someone calls me down. No, not shock anymore because it's expected. More like numb. Screw the goal for the week. That ain't happening now.
