coinflip ?

Postby euri10 » Mon Feb 28, 2005 10:24 am

this is a hand I played last night on stars. the tourney is a 1200 FPP, 3 tables, winner take a seat to the $500+30 tourney.
we are 3 at the end, I actually have less than my 2 opponents because of a bad draw that took 1/3 of my stack a few hands before
before that happened I perma raised every hand at 4BB, and won about 3 hands on 4.
but after having made that for a while, taking advantage from a bigger stack than my 2 opponents, guy2 begun to raise all in about 1/4 of the time on my raises.
so this hand happened, is it time for a coinflip in your opinion ?

The FPP winner take all is different then one where your making money every place you move up. IMO once it becomes a 4 player game you need to move all in with any A, 8 or better. It's a coin flip but all you can do is make your move and hope for the best.

I was in one last night at Full Tilt. $ left I pushed all in with a pair of 8's. K,10 called and caught a 10. I went from T70,000 to T30,000. Chip leader had T120,000. If I had hit I would have become chip leader. A few hands later I get KQs. I go all in and get 2 callers. One is chip leader the other i has about T60,000. Chip leader has QQ and the other player has AKo. I flop 2 clubs but get no help. AK spikes an A and is now chip leader. I didn't stay around to watch the end.

My point is if it had been a regular MTT and I was in 4th I would have waited to make my move with both those hands. 88 is a race with any 2 over cards and KQ is going to get called by Ax most of the time. Once it is down to 2 players then I put the pressure on. But with 4 left and such a big difference in 4th and 1st. I am going to wait for the right time or let them knock each other out.

If I ain't sinkin', well I must be swimin' If I ain't dead, I must be livin' Livin' is the thing, that scares me the most And if I ain't sleepin', well I better be fishin' If I ain't anchored I will be driftin' But all and all, I'm doing pretty good, since I hit my third coast!
