Ok. When I first read the hand, my thoughts were that we should lead turn. h2t - why is the turn check mandatory here. roothlus could easily be floating. He has 7324543 chips 4 seconds in to the tourney and is in a position to bully. My thoughts were basically like twelvers'. As played, I thought the best line, although very risky, is a check/call of any bet. roothlus is not going to pay us off with a worse hand if we bet, but he might bluff. I really thought that check/fold would be bad here for metagame purposes, but I then recall how much of a weak tight bitch you are and it seems to work for you.
