great style for tourney play imo.
this is the style that i use in early tourney when my stack consists of 60+BB.
I pretty much play extremely loose and limp with any 2 cards (any 2 suited cards, any suited connectors, 1,2,3 gappers.. even hands like J6o is playable in my book when in early stages of tourney with a bunch of deepstacked players and donkies) knowing that if i hit, i have a very good chance of stacking another player.
The trick to this style, I find, is disciplining urself to fold to a raise pf. And also not screwing up the postflop play. Postflop play is key when playing with this style or anytime ur playing very loose pf. Most players screw up this style because they limp with a hand like K6s, then hit TP and dont know what to do.
Basically the way I see it is that the advantages of having a chance to stack a player postflop in early tourney greatly outweighs the disadvantages of losing that 1BB to see the flop.
By using the limp and go strategy, you are given a good chance to build a quick stack in early tourney. Therefore you can use ur stack towards ur advantage in later stages to steal blinds, RR steal, outplay people etc. Basically it allows you to become more active in later stages of tourneys, and imo this is what gets you into the final table.
