I am seriously thinking of entering one of these soon, because I have created a plan to implement if I get lucky early and get some chips...But I think the best part about these tournaments is just being a spectator...It's like watching a 1000 fish in a barrel and dropping a few morsels into the barrel...and watching the chaos ensue. It's a great way to get a chuckle and relax...until they start stalling of course.

There actually is a strategy to this type of tournament to move on up the payment ladder, but you have to double up a few times first...then it has a chance.

I really will need a enormous win night to waste my money on this type of thing...but it looks like a great way to relax for a little bit...too bad they are all $30+3...I'm too cheap. Even with 1st prize sometimes getting up to $6K or more...Party Poker will find a way to slowly rake all of the money...they excel at it.

I'm curious,

How many starting chips?
Blinds go up how often?
Howmany players on average and how long do they normally take?
Is it pretty much an all-in fest?

I hate these fast tournaments but the funny part is I have been more sucessfull in these than in the regular tournament play. I have a 2nd and a 5th in 15 tournaments. The key is to play super tight until you get a hand a than be uber agressive and pray you double up. Once you have some chips sit back and wait til all the choas knocks everyone out. Than once I hit the money its time to make my move.
