Well, I'm chip leader at the final table of todays 9:30 a.m. EST $10+$1 NLHE at Party (509 entrants). I currently own 23% of the tourney chips. Wish me luck! (I'll report in as things develop) Oh yeah, I'm WaynaPicchu.

OK, one of the short stacks busted and gave someone else the chip lead, but I still have the same chip count, about 117,400 (23% of total) with blinds at 3000/6000. That's Harrington's Yellow Zone, by the way. ;)
-----
Recaptured chip lead (145,100) with 7 players left.
-----
Down to 4, with the chip lead still.
-----
Final 3, I have 60% of the tourney chips!
-----
I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All the way from 10-handed to the last 3, they wanted to deal, but I'm like, "no, I've never won an MTT. Going for the win means more to me." And I took it down!

If anyone was sweating me, thanks for the mental vibes. I'm so friggin' excited you could not believe it!

First place was $1,221.80. I'd previously only netted $595 in a tourney (3rd in a Paradise $60 buy-in). So this is my first tourney win, and my first online session netting over 1K. I've only had one B&M 1K session before (an amazing day at the $8-$16 limit game at The Bicycle Casino), so this is definitely new to me.

Man, I want to call everyone I know....and most of them won't even care. lol

Anyway, thanks to Texas Kowboy and his MTT primer. And God bless Dan Harrington!

$15 MTT at Bodog last night. 650 players or thereabouts. Hung right around the average chipstack or a little under almost the entire time, but placed some well-timed bluffs and got enough breaks along the way to work my way to 6th place and a $550 payout.

I had emptied my Bodog account several months ago, but read that they were converting points to cash, and had enough to get exactly $19.88 about two weeks ago. I've worked that through SnGs and the MTT last night to right at $850.

And that's the end of today's lesson about the principle of leverage, boys and girls.

I got second out of 181 this weekend at the AP 5$ w/rebuys.
I had a double add on after the first hour then grinded it out until i had the chip lead going into the final table. A queen rivered my 2 pair in the end. 440$ later and i am a HAPPY man, only my 4 or 5th MTT. And a BIG UP to Action dan for a wealth of info. for the latter parts of the tourny, I know for sure that if I didnt read his books it would not of happen!

Hi all! Some-time lurker, first-time poster here.

First off, thanks for all the informative articles and posts here at BTP, I've learned a ton of stuff here.

I've played low stakes (0.25/0.50) limit holdem for a couple of months now. Made a little profit at Bet365 in December (mostly thanks to the bonus money), cashed out. Then a little over a week ago I got an email saying I'd played enough raked hands in December to qualify for the once-a-month $30,000 VIP Freeroll. Never having entered a tournament before, I figured what the hell, I'll give it a try.

The tournament started at 10 PM, with about 3500 players. Some five hours later I finished in 3rd place and pocketed $2,100! I was almost ashamed to do so well, I felt like I didn't earn it since I haven't been playing very long... got quite lucky a couple times, with someone going all-in before me with a big stack and me happening to have pocket Aces.

Man, sleep didn't come very easy at 3 AM, having sat there for five hours, feeling wired and completely dumbstruck at my success. Next day at work went by in a half-asleep daze...

Anyway, I withdrew $1,500 right away and left $600 in my bankroll - I don't want to be tempted to go up to higher limits too fast. Will probably move from .25/.50 to 1/2 now, here's hoping I don't destroy my BR.

Sorry about the long post, I guess I'm still a bit excited
