In another post I tried to give poker advice without knowing what the difference between a bet and a raise is. Nice.
In this post I ask for advice.

5 $ MTT at Stars. 57 players left - 54 makes money. I have the chip lead with 31K. The small blind in this hand is third in chips with 29K. I dont care if I make it to the money. My goal is the final table.
It is folded to the SB who bets (??) 2400.
18 hands earlier it was folded to him in SB, he limped and called my preflop bet with 96o and we got all in on a 942 flop (I had K9). He lost 1/3 of his stack but he is not on tilt. My read on him is that he is too loose and not a player who is capable of making great laydowns. In this hand I have [9h] and call his bet.

Flop pot: 5200

A good flop for me. He bets 2400 and I raise to 11.000 hoping to win it right there. He calls.

Turn pot: 25.200

His call scared me. At this time he has about 15.000 left and I have 17.000. He checks it to me and I bet 7000 - I don’t know why. He thinks for a while and raises all in. I call hoping he has A8 or a draw. River is as 9 and I win a huge pot which gives me a big chip lead.

I think I played this hand very bad. If I lost it would be very difficult for me to make a comback. Cloutier writes that as a big stack “you’re not going to play a big pot against any other huge stack unless you have a premium hand”. I played a big pot against the only other player at the table who could really hurt my stack. I am not sure if I just should have called his raise on flop. And I don’t like my weak bet on turn either but I don't know if I should have made a bigger bet or just checked. If someone would comment on my play it would be great.

Now I have written a long story about a hand and I haven’t posted a real question. But I think my question is if anyone have a good strategi on how to play the pairs 77-JJ late in a tournament in general? These pairs always get me into trouble late in tournaments and SNG’s. And I would also know if someone are good at playing a big stack in a tournament and how they do it. After I won this pot I decided slowly to bluff 35.000 of my chips away and I got short. Of course I don’t expect anyone to give all their secrets away but I just seek some small advices to improve my game.

I've played 5 MTT's in my life so I'll spare you my advice, but out of curiosity as he was all-in were his cards shown, or were they auto-mucked?

His cards were shown. He had TT. I called an all in as a 21:1 underdog and won... Online poker IS rigged. I don’t feel good when someone sucks out like that on me but I felt almost as bad for the small blind when I did it to him.[/b]

Thanks for the replies. Blinds were 400/800. I didn't even consider folding this preflop. I still have alot to learn. I think I fold this preflop if a similar situation occurs.
