I'm playing in a free roll tournament tomorrow for the WSOP. It sets up so the top 3 finishers win tournament seats. 3rd gets in to the $1000 event, 2nd gets into the $5000 event, and first is a seat in the $10K main event. There are currently 147 people qualified, and I doubt many more will get in before the tourney tomorrow.
Now, here's the question. The structure is such that we'll start with 5000 chips and I think the blinds will be 25/50. Well, some will start with 5000 chips. As part of qualifying, players could earn more starting chips by qualifying multple times. So, there will be a lot of people starting with the max, 10000, I would assume. Since I was late in qualifying and didn't realize this promotion was going on, I'll only have the minimum. In this situation, really small blinds relative to the stacks, a short stack comparatively, and what amounts to a top 3 payout, how are you guys attacking this tournment?
