Supernorm this really doesnt matter in the long run because the key to an NL/PL game is implied odds, even in limit if you are makin a slight -ev play you still can collect one more bet on the river.

basically what rhound is trying to say is that you assume that there is no betting after the turn.

If there is a chance you could get 1 (or more) bets on the river, this changes all of your calculations. This is one of the reasons that limit odds are easier to calculate than NL odds. If I have the same situation in limit, the max I can usually win is determined by the betting limits (usually 4 x players in the hand) whereas you have to factor in stack/pot size in nl/pl.
