Ok, I here all the time "well what about Kings, what about 23, AA,, BLA BLA BLA"
For the first time in print, ATE will tell y'all an IMMUTABLE truth about omaha 8 or better.
(Ed note: this applies more to limit, but is also mostly true, for most pot limit games)
Ok, YA ready.
By the way, you may be wondering what I'm doing out of my cage? Well, I can leave, as long as I follow the rules of the "outside world"
Now, I don't want ANY arguments on this, except by QUALIFIED personnal.
here goes:
A2 suited, (any card suited to the ace) is the ONLY, I repeat ONLY two card "packet"
that makes the hand AUTOMATICALLY playable, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE OTHER TWO CARDS Are.
Would ATE play it, in no limit, when someone stacks off before the action is to me?
No, of course not. Would I call a massive raise in pot limit. No.
But, in 98% of the limit games out there, and for any reasonable size bet in pot limit.
IF YOU HAVE an A2 and are suited, you automatically have a playable hand.
Now, this is NOT NOT NOT NOT a MILLION times NOT the case, with any other two card "packet" NOOOOOO "AA" nooooooo A3s" nooooooo KK
GOT IT!!
with anything and EVERYTHING other than A2s, you must have other cards working for you, to be AUTOMATICALLY playable.
The other cards, either ad, or fail to ad, strength to the hand.
This is very important. ATE sees soooo much money, THROWN away, on RAG AA hands, Rag KK hands.
So, if you are dealt an A2 suited, on the first two cards, go ahead and have a little FUN.
Raise, without even looking at the other cards, and then see if the flop hits you, where you can bet without looking at the other cards. Yeah, Yeah, I know I said you aren't suppose to be having fun, but a LITTLE fun is ok, ESPECIALLY when you can gain
IV from it.
Oooops, you don't know what "IV" is, huh!
OK (drum rollllll) This is an OFFICIAL TOTALLY original ATE term, so DON"T anyone try to say they coined it
Iv=IMAGE VALUE.
Well, you'll just have to wait for my book, before we get into a complete explaination.
Remember, my deal: Adam marries, Adam does book. No wife, NO BOOKS
So, when you get AA 7 9, A 2 8 10 Unsuited KK 3 8
You have my permission to THROW THE DAMN things away.
Note: this does NOT mean that you go crazy, and reraise just because you have A2 suited, but it does make it playable, and raisable for one raise.
