Pok's got it exactly right ... for all purposes ... just count which cards make your hand and multiply by 2 .... that gives you your percentage. It's not EXACT, but it's so close it doesn't matter for making a decision on the fly.
Example is holding the nut flush draw with 2 cards to come ... there are 6 of your suit out there which don't pair the board ... giving you a 12% shot on the next card and a 24% shot with 2 cards to come ... throw in say 6 more outs for a str8 draw to go with it ... and then you've got 12 outs ... 24% on the next card, and 48% with 2 cards to come ... that sort of thing.
Another good one to know is if you're holding a set ... your odds of filling up are 14% on the turn and another 20% on the river ... or roughly 1/3 of the time.
