What is your play?

The correct response first requires some profanity about getting couterfeited. Your next action from there is mostly opponent dependent. If he is a rock, then you can be sure he didn't call your flop bet without at least the nut-low himself. A bet of about 1/2 the pot should give you a good enough risk/reward that he'll fold. Otherwise, I tend to just give up and check it through most of the time.

i check and give it up on the river if i whiff on the boat, flush or wheel.

i don't think it's a good time to get aggressive when you get counterfeited like this -- usually the only hands that call you are ones that beat you. as i said before, i like to slow down with three cards to a wheel on the board unless i have the wheel or villain is an idiot.
