$50 PLO on UB. Opponent has a big stack ($150) but mainly because he got lucky. He does not always bet enough to make it incorrect for draws to stay and sometimes draws to hands he doesn't get odds for.
I have [Tc][8h][8d] on the button and limp after 5 others.
Flop is [9h][Th].
It is checked to me, so I bet the pot, confident that nobody has a set. Only my opponent in MP calls.
Turn: .
Since my opponent is likely drawing and checks to me, I bet pot again. Opponent calls.
River: .
Opponent checks. I decided to check behind here, since I have a not-very-good hand and don't get a call anyway if he missed his draws. Also, I don't want to get checkraised of course.
Unfortunately, I lose a medium sized pot to [4d][3h][2h].
Maybe I should've made a big bet on the river, continuing to represent a set? What do you do here against different types of opponents?
