keeping stats for PL0

Postby Stl10202 » Fri Jan 14, 2005 5:50 pm

Hey everyone, hope you all had a happy new year. Been at home for awhile and trying to get caught up with posts and keep learning how to play omaha better.

I had a question for all of you PLO players. How do you keep records? Since PT has yet to discover a way I plug in my times, buy in, cash out, and the stats that Empire provides and calculate my BB accordingly. I am just wondering if there is a better way than this. Thanks for the input.

PS I just read that I can contact Starstealer which I will do but was hoping for some input until then.

Build a simple spreadsheet to do the job for you; alternatively, check out www.pokercharts.com, which has a set-up for doing this and loggin it online. Looks very nice but when i tried it i realised i prefered my own home-made system.

I only play on the one site so my records are more simple than monks. I've just created a simple spreadsheet with dates, times, number of hands, loss/profit and comments. Using that info, i can find out my $ per 100 hands and $ per hour.

Obviously, I can't keep records for Omaha like PT can for holdem, but hopefully they will expand soon. Until then, I'm saving the hand histories that Party saves on my computer. If you plan to do this, make sure to change the options in Party to the max so they don't erase on you. As for other sites, i'm not sure how they handle hand histories but I would suggest saving them if you can so you can import them eventually. Until then, its all up to you.
