OK, I’ve noticed something I do. I sit in at a table and there is a LAG to my left making my life difficult. I know I can take him but it takes patience and cojones. I’ve got both.

The problem is that the variance is high in this situation and position is really problematic. But I tend to take it as a personal challenge and while I will win money at these games it lowers my win rate and ups my variance.

It’s stupid I should just go find another table, or try to get better position.

Anyone else with this problem?

I actually prefer a maniac to my left in pot limits games. I feel that it is the best position to trap him because you can realy pound the pot with a check raise, especially if there is another caller.
