Anyone seem to notice that people call with the nut flush draw on the flop, hit it on the turn and then check to catch people on the river? I know this is stupid i've seen it happen about 4 times in the past two days and I only remember it a few times really in the past.

If he bet the turn, I may call chasing my boat but I got a free card. Since he checked the turn, I called the river thinking he had the straight and not the flush.

wow... that's ugly.

i have read posts by gunshy people wanting to see the river before they bet their nut flush -- they don't want to "waste" a bet on the turn when the board pairs and they get screwed on the river. these are the people that take much more joy in showing down a winning hand than they do in maximizing their return.

ugh... some people are really bad poker players.
