well-played through the turn, imo. you have the nut str8 with redraws to a higher str8 and a flush draw -- time to jam.

on the river, since you're short-stacked, i think you have to get the money in. whether you bet or check-call depens on the villain. at this level, i'd be more tempted to bet since a lot of people will call with marginal hands but tend not to bet them.

Yes. What can you possibly beat? If button had a turned straight he'd have been all in on the turn. He can only be drawing to a boat or a flush. Even if I thought he was pretty bad I still can't see him calling a bet and a raise with *nothing* or top two on the turn. He'd have to be pretty abysmal IMO for me to make this call.

Well, you beat a bluff or a lower flush, but I really think you're going to see a full house here at least 70% of the time if we're just talking about your average Joe opponent who hasn't been doing anything crazy.

Yeah I make a lot of river calls some people would think are a bit mad. I've called like $100 bets with middle pair on a 200PLO table before. I probably call a little too much on the river, but you'll ALWAYS experience negative enforcement in that view (I suspect if you make one river call that loses and one that wins you'll feel bad about it - I know I do, even though it's a winning play as you only need to win the right side of a third of them). Anyways, that's a bit of a digression. I just don't call here.
