Party Poker
Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Ring game
Blinds: $0.50/$1
9 players

Stack sizes:
UTG+1: $174.40
MP1: $116.05
Hero: $182.10

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with [3d] [As] [Qd] [6d]
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button folds, Hero raises to $5.5, BB folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, CO folds.

Flop: [6c] [Qs] [8d] ($18.5, 3 players)
Hero bets $19, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.

Turn: [Td] ($75.5, 3 players)
Action on Hero.

UTG is 33/2, loose-ish with postflop calls. MP1 is 70/13 fish. I've got LAG in high gear, the table is going crazy and they probably have me pegged as a moron/bluffer.

i'd push... esp. in your shoes.

you might be able to push out a bare A2xx that was looking to semi-bluff raise you on a made low and maybe even the nut flush draw (unlikely, but possible).

anyway, you look at it, you've got outs if your not ahead unless the villains are both holding monsters (e.g., better flush, set or made straight, and A2xx between them).

I don't raise that hand OOP, but we play this game very differently. With the way that you play I fire again. You might be able to push out an A2, and even if you run into something big like a set you are going to have outs.

The only other thing I would consider is a CR for fold equity but not against these guys.

I knew I was ****ed on the turn, but couldn't bring myself to check it (same reasoning as you guys). I had 23% equity even with noone having a flush draw. I think with the slightly deeper stacks and low fold equity, this is a turn where a LAG has to shut down, although it seems you all disagree.

i think this is normal variance for a lag. you would have felt like a genius if a deuce, a diamond, or a boat maker came on the river.

fwiw, this is precisely why i prefer to play these marginal hands more aggressively with position. that being said, we play different games, so....

I agree with you 100% about position. But if you're going to play these hands out of position with a LAG style, the most important adjustment is knowing when to throttle aggression on otherwise good looking boards (the other is making thin value bets with very marginal hands). Here, I think a tough laydown was correct. No I'm not being results oriented, I was pretty sure I was fucked vs two calling stations who both liked their hand on the flop. I got that intuitive feeling you get from experience that betting was -EV. Then I went through the rationalization of

- They can't both have me beat, I might get a low to fold and have enough equity against a made straight/set/better two pair/whatever
- They could both have low draws in which case betting is +++EV
- I can't show weakness here after potting the flop.

All of these rationalizations were wrong.

fair enough... i know what you mean about knowing when you're beat. you can't pick up that feeling from a post.
