On the turn I mentally yelled out "Gin!". Should I have gone for a check/raise? I was of course afraid to give the flush draw a free card but I think I will see a bet from him again here most of the time.
---------------------------------------
After that last hand it looks like the villain is tilting a bit, he's been raising a lot of hands preflop.
Now, the MAIN mistake these guys make is that they play WAY too loose preflop. The average vpip is above 60%, some are literally playing any two. I limp behind in LP planning to limp/re-raise for that reason. I figure that he's going to raise, probably everyone who limped is gonna call since he's raising so often, and I can put in a huge-ish re-raise with what has to be a pretty substantial favorite hand preflop against these guys range. I also expect some dead money since even though I expect a lot of people to call his raise I think they will be more reluctant to put in 50bb preflop with their junk.
Arguments against this would be that...
- I'm pretty deep stacked
- PLO8 is a post flop game
- I will only get 1/3 of my stack in preflop
