Hand reading help for beginners & Kuso: I have top pair, second nut low draw, and two backdoor flush draws

I like the move if not for CO flatcalling the flop bet by UTG. With only $50 left behind it's not likely that CO is folding, so you are 3 way for the main pot. If UTG calls your raise (probably a 50/50 shot based on your read of him/her) then you have to assume you are toast at least one way, meaning a possible split with UTG in the side pot, and poor chances in the main.

All that being said, you would have gotten all in on the turn anyway, so it's likely a moot point.

I would just prefer to do that when there's a chance of getting heads up (when iffy 2 way hands have a ton more value).

My thoughts? I am not sure I normally play that hand for a check raise on the flop, but I don't hate the play either. Once you have check raised it seems pretty likely you will have odds to call the re-raise. This is the type of play I might only make if I were already stuck a buy-in or two and was looking to generate some big pots and action.

I would expect to come out slightly behind on this hand most of the time, and occaisionally take down a big one.

UTG had A248 for bottom two + nut low draw and was a moderate favorite. Short stack had 356K for the gutshot.
