Ok, I'd like to say a word or two, about point count systems for omaha. If you have a good one, it's a useful tool. But NOT some "magic ticket" for success. In any poker game, starting hands, are just the TIP OF THE ICEBERG! This does NOT mean that you can play any ole hand (Unless you're a TOP expert), but that only knowing proper starting hands, WILL NOT "GAURANTEE" you success!!!
YOu must, MUST learn what to do, once you have a hand, with the requsite number of points . . . AND this is something that has never been completly explained. The ate point count system, includes POINTS for flops, as well as starting hands. This is critical. You must know precisely what to do, at each step of the way.
Anyone who only gives a starting hand point count system, is like giving a soldier a gun, but NO BULLETS!
So, it's fine if you want some system of selecting starting hands (as long as it's NOT Hutchinson!!! ! ! ! ! !) As long as you don't STOP THERE!! You must continue your studys, and know what to do with you hand, after you get it.
So, ATE fans, I'll make this promise. The INSTANT I ever get married again, that will be the day that I'll release my much anticipated omaha material.
Or, If Monk will agree to work with me, on the ULTIMATE Tome of Omaha and Omaha8, and be SERIOUS about it, ATE will work with him.
