I'm in MP3 here with 8d8h7c7d (strictly speaking not quite in the raising range I've outlined, but I'm in good position with a pretty good hand) and raise pot ($9) with 1 short-stacked ($40) and aggro limper (this guy is a maniac--same one who potted red T866 into my AA on the A-high flush board).
SB ($80), BB ($80) and of course maniac call. Flop comes AT8 with two spades. Checked to maniac, who moves in for $30 in a pot of $36. On this one, I decide to raise, as I feel like it gives me a good opportunity to push out the flush draw and straight draws of the other players if they have one.
I actually think maniac must be on a draw here, as he certainly would have pushed AA PF, and betting TT into a raiser who likely has AA seems just crazy.
But... guess what? TT is exactly what he had, and he even quadded up on the river.
So, I was drawing near dead against a maniacal short-stack, but I still like my play on this hand.
