I'm thinking about being a prop for an online poker site. What bankroll do i need to be a prop for 3-6?

Anyway, the information you seek requires more specific information. ATE could just give a "pat" answer, such as "300bb" But this wouldn't be accurate. Now, I seem to remember your situation, but I need to know a few things:

(1) How much of your winnings/pay, can you devote to BANKROLL INCREASE?

If you make 700 a week, plus whatever you win, and can devote 300-400 a week to
BANKROLL increase, then you can start with a lessor amount.

(2) How many hours are you going to "prop" Most sites have a 20 hour minumum.

(3) How many games are you going to play at the same time


Anyway, If you can put aside a good portion of your winnings towards bankroll increase, then ATE would suggest no less than 1500 PER GAME. Now, this figure also takes into account, the fact that you have no kids to support. This figure is much less, than if you had a family and HAD to make a certain amount per month.

Ok, this is a large amount, and you can try it for less. HELL, ATE knows a guy who started a prop job, with 100 bucks, and managed to work there for six MONTHS.

I would not suggest this for the average person. But, the consequences for losing your bankroll, with your family/living situation, would only be that you'd have to rustle up another buy in.

Everyone who asks me this question, does not include this most important information!

If the consequences of losing a bankroll, is that you're kicked out of your home, and your kids starve and are taken away from you, DON'T TRY THIS JOB, WITHOUT ABOUT THREE TIMES WHAT I SAID.

2) I would probably prop 40 hours a week

3) one game at a time.

Schedules: 8 hours, 12hours, or 16 hours (Props scheduling for $2/$4 or $3/$6 must make their schedules between 5PM & 9AM ET during the week, or any times on the weekend.)


If i pick one of those schedules does that mean i play for 8,12 or 16 hours straight? Or do i play any time during the schedule?
