Ok, here is yet another 100% original ATE concept, never before seen in print.
When deciding whether or not to play a pocket pair, in a no limit hold em tournametn, there are several major considerations to take into account.
This post, will only deal with one of those: The odds of someone having a bigger pair (which is, of course, the DEADLYIST risk to our hand)
You will hopefully enjoy ATE's handy chart, which no one has ever done before.
Now, if only this site would $#^@#^ fix it, so my spacing doesn't get removed.
(CAME FROM ANOTHER SITE. Not referring to BTP
Pocket Pair Players remaining in pot Odds of Bigger pair
22 9 2.O3 to 1
22 8 2.29 to 1
22 7 2.61 to 1
22 6 3.05 to 1
22 5 3.66 to 1
22 4 4.58 to 1
tHIS IS very time consuming, I'm not going to go over every situation, just try to give you an idea
1010 9 6.11 to 1
1010 8 6.87 to 1
1010 7 7.85 to 1
1010 6 9.16 to 1
1010 5 11.oo to 1
1010 4 13.75 to 1
1010 3 18.33 to 1'
1010 2 27.00 to 1
1010 1 55.oo to 1
Obviously, with the smaller pairs, there are other things that people will call with, that pose a serious threat to our pair. I'm just trying to give Ya'll something to work with, when deciding whether to go all in, with a small pair
QQ 9 12.22 to 1
QQ 8 13.75 to 1
QQ 7 15.71 to 1
QQ 6 18.33 to 1

QQ 4 27.50 to 1
QQ 3 36.66 to 1
QQ 2 55.00 to 1
QQ 1 110.00 to 1
Ok, that's enough for now, I'm tired.
Hopefully this will provide Y'all with good insite as to what to do. Notice how the odds increase DRAMATICALY, as the opponent count decreaseS
