Played a couple hands in the razzament that got me thinking. Both of these hands I ended up winning because of drawing well and the odds being huge at the end. One of the factors with the additional betting rounds is that you often have huge odds and pretty good implied odds on 6th. Thus, giving your opponents (read, me, who will have some kind of reasonable draw to be in the hand) a free card on 5th essentally means that they are going to show it down much more often (if you brick or I catch good).

More than anything, if the villan in either hand bets 5th, I have to fold. Particluarly in the first hand, he is ahead, but has to realize that he is facing two draws that have to be drawing to better than the 8. He has to bet.

So, if you have the best hand or it looks like you do, please bet. Do Not Give People Free Cards! Or Roy will kill GTU.

So I have been running very well. 4/6 itm with 2 final tables this week with the razzaments coming into the $5 tonight.



There were a couple rough spots, but I stayed patient (and hit two huge river cards when I was all in, one of the 6 out variety).

So my razzament stats for the week are 6/8 itm, 4/8 final tables, and one win.

I need to find a fold somewhere here. Hawk was a huge stupid donk who had no idea what he was doing and I really really badly wanted his chips. That having been said, I really really need to find a fold.

I played a hu razz sng (which is about as much fun as it sounds like) to get some practice.

I did the same thing I did in the tourney above. Got a lead and played a hand where I had an advantage and pushed it pretty hard. Still not sure if that is the right play.

Nice little tourney to start the day. Going for a 20 mile bike ride after a quick trip to best buy for an ipod container of some kind and some sport earphones.
