I really think it is important to be a well rounded poker player, not just holdem or omaha, so I am trying to learn 7 stud. I have played a few 8 players SNG on party. Does anyone know of any good books to give me a good background on playin 7 stud? I have read the 7 stud part of super system but was wondering if anyone knew of any other good reads to get me started.

With solid poker knowledge (and I personally think you have enough from your posts on here) I'll recommend 7-stud for advanced players. It's not going to be an easy read seeing as you're a beginner with the game but I think you'll make it through ok,.

I just started getting into stud the last month or so. Chip Reese's section in Super System is also pretty good.

I would recommend not playing stud on Party (ring game anyways) as they have a larger ante making it a harder game to beat. Poker Stars has a much smaller ante.

Also if your in Vegas, the Excailbar has a very soft 1-5 spread stud game - no ante.

Yeah I did read Chips part in super system but I was hoping for a little more depth. I ordered the Sklasky book though it hasnt arrived yet, also my copy of super system 2 just got shipped. That may have something in it too.
