I know you've mentioned to me you had your own Omaha point system..but i believe it hasn't been released yet.

Well,in the meantime... I suck at omaha high-low.. What do you think of Hutchinson's system here to start with? is it similar to the way yours was?

SUCKS!! It's totally WRONG

It assigns way too many points, for all of the low hands, and does not take into account many things.


Use it . . . .IF you want to lose at O8.

I agree 100% with ATE if that's any help. The Hutchison point systems for BOTH O8 and omaha high are plain WRONG. For the high game, certain features are given far too high point counts, and overall the system is WAY too tight. I believe (from memory) that the Hutchison system for omaha high recommends JT98ds, one of the very very best premium starting hands in the game (You should play it for your whole stack even, in certain circumstances), is MARGINALLY CALLABLE. I haven't looked at the O8 one in any great detail but if it's as bad as the omaha high one, it isn't worth a second look.

I was beginning to think that I drove you away! Remember folks, any STOOGE can devise a point count system, or for that matter, write any darn thing that suits them.

ATE writes, only what has been PROVEN to work, over 18 years of play. Once in a while, I may have something that is only my THEORY, and not a fact.

Well, everyone has to make a living. My omaha material, is going to be given out in very limited amounts, as this is of course my BEST game. I need to have things, to teach people, in lessons and books.


Of course, It will be available to YOU, and anyone else who becomes a student.

I can't wait...And I promise not to share it with anyone else.
