OK, to ATE there is no such thing, as marathon sessions. There can be marathon DAYS, but not sessions.
I do NOT believe, in staying in a game, just because it is "good" There are so many good games, 24/7/12, that there is NO reason to stay in one game. Especially once you've dropped back a good portion of your chips.
It's very soothing, physcologically, to BOOK A WIN Makes you so much more powerful, for the NEXT GAME.
Who in the pluckin' heck, ever said that a poker day, has to be all in one game?
Certainly NOT me. Quit, take your daughter to KARATE practice, have some baby-back ribs and home-made limeaid, and then go and play again. Win, quit and watch a movie with your wife. Play again and WIN.
Not only does this help your winning performance, but will help prevent you from being a person with an unhappy family.
Obviously, if you are many many miles from your casino, you can not do this as readily
But, that's what they invented internet play for!
A well-rounded player, should have access to both internet, and BM play, and hopefully a c ouple "home" games as well.
An exception to this rule, would be if there was some MAJOR live one, in a very high stakes game, that plays REALLY bad, and this game does not exist very often.
ALSO . . . . remember that on'es poker workweek, involves NON playing work, but that's a subject for another article
DON'T YOU ALL JUST LOVE THE SHEER GENIUS, OF A.T.E.?
