has anyone participated in these freerolls? are they worth very much for the average participant?

i think i'll qualify for at least one of the FRs this month, but i'm not really sure i want to play. the timing of these is usually really inconvenient for me and i don't want "my part" of the prize pool deducted from my rakeback.

thoughts? opinions?

I played in the Iron Man Freroll and it is easy to cash in because they pay twice the normal # of people. As for being able to unregister, I don't think it is possible. I have been trying to be removed from a tourney that is going to cost me at least $50 in rake back, and Full Tilt will not remove me.

I don't think the person I am talking to undestands what I am saying though. He keeps responding to my emails saying that I cannot unregister for a tournament that I satellited my way into. I will talk to my rakeback affiliate and see if I can't get this resolved, because I really don't want to play in this Aussie seat give a way.

Stealth

Trump34 and I both played in the November Silver Iron Man. We both cashed. It wasn't difficult and there really is not need to actually play until you get down to the money. There is usually enough away people to just selectively steal blinds or push made hands until you get to that point. In fact Trump had a guy on his table that was ITM and was away the whole time.

Are they worth the time though? That's the question. If you are gonna multitable and just try and wade your way in, then probably. Otherwise the payout isn't worth much until you get down to the final few.

It's isn't hard to recoup what you lose for MGR though.
