I am trying to plug the leaks in my game and was wondering if there are any programs out that will give odds and outs on hands?
Or maybe graph i could refer to?
I've established that i hold onto the losing hand more often than not. The other night in a sng and 2 mtt i had pocket kings busted 3 times, twice by me not seeing i was beat(no aces on the board but a straight was made on the river twice) and the last on tilt!!!!! i went to bed then lol
Holdemgenius looks good but i already have accounts set up with the 2 sites they want you to sign up for to get a free licence (although i think the criteria they require to release this licence could end up costing a fortune anyway lol)

If you want a dedicated program to do it the I'm unable to suggest anything. Cardplayer.com has a good odds calcualtor, website based though.

holdem genius does what you want. you may want to sign up a gnome (child, wife, parent, etc.) to get the bonus. and yes, they make a fortune if you use the account that gets the "free" software.

If you already have a account with the poker sites where you have to sign up, how can you go about signing a family member in order to get holdem genius?

If the family member is using the same e-mail address will it still work?

I've been using the appropriately named "Hold'em Odds Calculator" for Party and Empire Poker by MuLabs.

It scans YOUR hand and the community cards and gives you odds and rates your hand the whole way through. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with the new Party Poker, so I guess I am SOL, unless anyone knows of an update or different calculator altogether.

black_knight, you are right about learning to do the odds yourself, but I found that playing with a calculator (that I didn't have to manually enter) really helped me learn odds and see how they increase or decrease when I chase cards down the river. I'm just lazy, I guess, plus the calc keeps me from letting something slip by (not that I always play it well, but you know...)

Ummm... cmon guys, this rough estimate is about all you need.

To Hit on turn OR river: (How many outs you have x2)%
To Hit BY river: (How many outs you have x 4)%

If you can't do that much you should be at the play money tables (just being honest here)

Yup...agree with golden...also, in NL EXACT odds just don't matter that much like they do in limit...
